I am a late comer to the Aldis party. Growing up and working for some of the bigger stores in town I was loyal to them. At the urging of my wife we started going to Aldis. I was skeptical but they have great prices and some great products. I have found products that ate actually better and a lower cost of name brands I was loyal to.

Although I LOVE ALDI's, their prices has gone 'substantially/astronomically' HIGHER than they normally PRICE their items. The reason for SHOPPING at ALDI's is to 'save' money NOT 'splurge'! ALDI's USED to be called, "The STOCK up store" but, NOW, their prices are competing with the OTHER stores and supermarkets. WHO'S 'stocking' up, NOW?? THEM with OUR money?? What a 'tragedy'! I can't 'differentiate' WHAT store I'm IN, because of the 'prices', unLESS.......I look at the logos or store banners! The shelves are EXTREMELY 'barren' but the store is 'clean' and the workers are quick, friendly and courteous!;)

Aldi is the best grocery store in my opinion. It has great items at low prices. Has some off brand items but they're almost the same as the not off branded items.

They aren’t choosing to mark up their prices the way other businesses are. FYI inflation is mostly fake and is largely caused by companies LITERALLY just choosing to charge more (as they openly admit themselves), usually triggered by legitimate price increases caused by things like supply chain disruptions.

Assistant Manager Verine, who claimed to be the store manager, needs to be retrained or taught empathy and compassion. This Aldis did not sell any bandaids which was needed due my little boy cutting his hand while exiting at the store. I asked Vernie if he could kindly grab us a single bandaid from the stores first aid kit which he claimed that the store doesn’t have any. Several laws are in place requiring that all work places / Food Industries / Food Handling businesses maintain a viable first aid kit for employees. I know Aldi is no exception. When checking out I asked the cashier on the closed check out lane to check for a bandaid and that’s when Vernie runs up saying “I already told them we don’t have any” but the employee already had offered to go grab one. Vernie then stated that “he doesn’t know where he’ll get one from..... he must have them in his pocket because I already told you we don’t have any in the store”. The employee looked intimated and Vernie had a narcissistic attitude/anger demeanor he carried with him so we decided to shop elsewhere. Home Depot next door immediately grab a bandaid and ointment from the first aid kit, located at pro desk entrance, and told us not to worry about the cost. If your kid ever needs assistance and you’re near a Home Depot, go there. Don’t go to Aldi’s.

Different demographic (Lee's Summit) than our Blue Ridge & 104th St. We found a Veggie Vita pizza that is so good. It is a special buy but we went back 2 weeks later and bought the last 4 pizzas at a Great price. Cheaper than Papa Murphys on Tuesday or Pizza Hut. It tastes GREAT and better than the previous mentioned places pizzas.

Love ALDIs brands. Better than supermarket. Eggs are Big. Produce and meat are great. Can’t always get everything but I always start there. Great prices too

I shopped Aldi's for years! They were way ahead of there time in the low price leader offering quality food and great savings. Too bad other companies didn't try their cart for a quarter. In other words, put your cart up because you don't get a quarter but you save it running into someone's car or the handicap spot.

So in the whole schtick of reviewing largely homogeneous inventory chains, this one did well. I’ve gone to local aldis in kc, independence, Raytown, Roland park, brookside and now… Lee’s summit. And. All the stuff was EXACTLY the same…. But. This one was out of so many things. I went mid afternoon on a Saturday. They were out of the ground beef and ground turkey I generally get as well as the sliced cheese I normally get which is….. uncommon although I’m sure they will blame it on Covid. They actually had TWO in-person lines going which each were 3-4 people long, but the checkers were low-key ninjas and got people through quickly prior to kickoff. Nice experience despite the stock issues.

I love going to Aldi’s! They have great deals on various items. Stop in you wont leave empty handed. Bring your own bags unless you would prefer to use an empty box. They do have bags to purchase.
