Shopped at this store Saturday, October 29. They had one cashier on checkout. The line was extremely long. Against my better judgment, I opted for their self checkout. The man at the checkout next to me and myself, both had multiple issues with our checkout that required the employee responsible for this section to come and assist. She was extremely unfriendly with a definite attitude. This attitude seems to be prevalent in many Hy-Vee employees at this location. It’s a beautiful store but it will be a long time before I return.

You can find some good deals, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here.... The store set up is confusing, and where they put certain products makes no sense. For example, Noosa yogurt is not where all the other yogurts are in the dairy section... they keep it in the health department section. Makes no sense.

I'm updating my review from 3 to 4 stars... After my initial post, within a few hours I received a reply from Hy-Vee corporate. Thank you. Today I received a call from this Hy-Vee store's customer satisfaction manager. I REALLY appreciate the call. Yet another reason I like this store. Here's the bottom line and it checks out...they are trying to get more staff (see image), but like many businesses, finding people to fill open positions is really hard. Anyway, thanks for responding, it's much appreciated. *****ORIGINAL POST***** 3-Stars @Hy-Vee we are loyal Pharmacy customers and love your pharmacy staff, however, we need you to support your pharmacy staff better by providing more trained staff to support what appears to be increased business. Lately, prescriptions transmitted from Dr. offices in the morning are not ready by early evening. Please get your pharmacy staff more help.

Increasing price with decreasing quality and selection of grocery items. I don’t see the need to come to Hy-Vee to get clothing or home goods. On top of that they seldom have more than just a couple of check out lanes with cashiers and hardly have baggers anymore opting for the self check out lanes which are incredibly inconvenient if your getting more than just a few items. They are particularly annoying when you are getting produce and the single person attending the self check outs has to verify 1/4 of your items because the scales aren’t working correctly. I miss the “helpful smile in every aisle” instead it’s full of larger carts taking up the whole area for personal online shoppers.

Ads are very deceptive, Counters show a sale price but it is disputed at checkout. I've shopped at this store for a long time and I don't try to get something for nothing and I do not appreciate being made to feel as if I'm starting trouble simply because I asked for the sale price your store put on the counter!

I’ve never been to a Hy-Vee! I was so thoroughly impressed! They have absolutely everything! An enormous organic food selection, but also regular items like Diet Coke. There is a restaurant. And a fantastic wine and spirits section. Furthermore, their pharmacy is organized, and Eli B. was so kind and helpful. The store is extremely clean and the associates are happy. My new favorite grocery store, pharmacy and winery.

I grocery shop at all of the chains but overall this is my favorite. In our opinion they have the best rotisserie chicken available. This is the only place I can find Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce coffee. We are addicted to the Pineapple Ham from the deli. They have a good selection of gluten free foods. I have had a prescription filled here when I needed something on a Saturday and the. Walgreens pharmacy isn't open on Saturdays anymore. I have used the access to the St Luke's health system at my store as well. This is a very good full-service store.

Items off the grill were not even edible. Chicken so dry couldn't even chew it if you wanted to. I usually patronize the other hyvee on rice road but definitely will never return to this store as it was a matter of convenience this day.

Let’s see… for 200 characters or more what can I say about Hy Vee Grocery. I’m going to give it a 4/5 because I feel that is a neutral and Fair rating for online review. This Hy-vee like all the others has basically everything that’s in a grocery store. I think the most interesting thing is they just finished their remodel at this location so they have that going for them. It’s a grocery store. Utilitarianism is an interesting concept. I must be at 200 characters by now one would think? Or maybe it was 200 words? Google local guide rules are so confusing. If you’re reading this (I forgot some people do read 4 star reviews because they’re more “honest”) know that I’m just trying to get my free Google local guide swag and help a business out if I can. Like this grocery store again for an example. I could have gone with the cold 3 star “neutral” review but I feel like that’s just a fake neutral and that the 3 star reviewers are very passive aggressive. Who knows? “Hey Google! … do you know the answer to my question?” And Google says
