This location is the most disgusting. I've found used, blood filled needles. I've seen fecal matter on the toilets. Dead birds on the floor. The prices used to be very good, which is why I tried to ignore the other issues. Lately, prices are rising though, on a par with the rest of the thrift stores in the area. This location used to have the most amazing selection of books! What they have done to the book selection is a travesty. It seems like the nicer furniture comes out on the floor with sold labels already. The rest of the very used furniture is overpriced. The DVDs have recently been moved. Now in order to look at them, you have to lift a large metal rack full, and balance it on the shelf...or set it on the floor...to look at the dvds inside. Don't worry though, most are scratched up beyond repair, or missing altogether. One good thing, the books are (for now) decently priced. Most of the kids books are dated, and/or in rough shape. Some have clearly been torn, written in, or soaked with mystery liquid. And also, most of the books have been there for many months. No one is going to buy them. Yet if you peek in the back, you can see huge boxes and shelves of books. Stuffed animals are often missing eyes, stained, or obviously belonged to a dog before being donated. Games are missing parts. It doesn't help that people dump their kids there while they shop elsewhere in the store. Today I was excited, because amid the typical junk, was a brand new board game. As I was checking out, the cashier said something about how she could not sell it because it had no price tag. I got the impression it's because it was new? She even tried to scan it, the original barcode. I mean, did she expect the barcode to work? If it had worked, would I have been charged the retail price?! Well she refused to sell it to me, probably wanted it for herself I suppose. Many of the items in the store have no price tags. Books for example, and most stuffed animals. I've never had any problem buying anything without a tag, the cashier usually asks someone else and prices it for me. It happened with a chair recently for pete's sake. The last time I visited, the cashier tried to charge me too much for the books. A visit before, a cashier was afraid a toy gun was a real weapon and would accidently discharge and harm her. And you will probably at some point, be approached by someone in the parking lot or store. Maybe they will want to fix your car, right there, cash only? They even offer to drive you to an ATM. Nothing suspicious there. Maybe they just want money. Maybe they want you to go to their church. Or perhaps they want to tell you that they are a prophet and try to discuss this with you. Yeah this all happened to me at least once.

I’ve written a positive review of this place before, but today was off and I feel that feedback is needed. I went in today and no one greets you anymore, ok. They’ve changed the store around, it looks good and it’s easier to find things but I was followed by two employees. All I had was a small purse and my phone on me. I was shopping for my daughter. That was unsettling so I stopped shopping and went to the register to pay. The attendant wasn’t rude but not nice either. I paid for my things and thought that it would be bagged but apparently they don’t bag things anymore. I thought that it looked silly for me to walk out of the store with an arm full of clothes, but apparently I had to? It was overall a weird experience this time.

This store usually does not disappoint. We bought a fabric square container with no top, filled with legos. It took us about a week to go through and separate them, but we got well over $100 worth of legos- for $8! I like this thrift store.

This place has a nice variety of items to look through that are organized pretty well. Their stuff is priced a bit higher than I’d prefer but I always leave with home decor, kitchenware, and clothes I’m happy with. Would recommend for sure!

At the end of March I came in and priced some twin size mattresses for my daughter. She is currently without a bed. She picked two that she liked and I told her we would come back after I got paid. Then I got an email a couple days later saying that mattresses would be on sale during April. 20% off. I was excited to save a little money because every dollar counts, especially when moving. I finally had the money to get the mattress and went back to the store. I was confused because the mattresses were $30 higher than last month. I also noticed that the brochures with the prices listed were all gone. The only prices were the signs on the mattresses themselves. I thought maybe it was because I went to a different location, unlikely, so I went to the original one I took the photos at. Nope, all the prices were raised so it negates the 20% off. I have heard of big box stores doing this, but a charity store? I am very disappointed by this. This was my favorite thrift store until today.

I went to donate at the loading dock. The man was rude, immediately started throwing some of my stuff (good craft items and household decor) into the trash, then argued with me about “empty boxes”, which were actually almost 2 dozen jewelry gift boxes. I told him they cost well over a dollar each. He said, “They won’t sell.” I said I bet $10 they will (trying to keep it congenial) and he grumbled something and took them inside. I donated them because if someone makes jewelry to sell, for extra income at least, this would help them. He could have waited till I left to start sorting my stuff, especially if he was insulting me. I don’t donate junk. I know the value of thrift stores, for I buy a lot of clothes and household items at them. And crafting supplies usually sell fast at my favorite one. I like the inside of this store, but won’t be donating here.

Got here to drop off donations at 9:30 a.m. there are many mentions here on Google in the question-and-answer section that I referenced indicating that you can start dropping off at 9 a.m. Upon arrival saw a sign that said they start taking donations at 10 a.m. I backed up to the dock area and figured I could drop the items as I did not require a receipt for this transaction. An employee pops their head out the door, just to let me know that "I can't do that" and that "donations start at 10". I figured with it being less than a half-hour now that they would not have a problem making an exception. I said okay I will wait. In the meantime I was watched the whole time to make sure I did not start unloading early and observed another five carloads of donations get sent away. People that were given the same treatment just wanted to offer some charitable donations who will I guess now either take them elsewhere or throw them in the dumpster around the corner. Confusing part is why they pay someone to stand at the back door chasing away donations up until the final moment that they start accepting them instead of being helpful and accepting the donations which are the sole source of the stores charitable Revenue. Guess the conversation they were having while I waited was important. I'm sure that there are reasons for this policy but really just don't understand . But it is what it is and that's their prerogative some people are patient some people are not. Just like some stores offer exceptional customer service, While others are piss poor, and refus to read between the lines, of the policies that they see in only black and white. In closing... Monday through Saturday the donation hours are 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. not one minute after and certainly not 20 minutes before.

I don't know what happened here but the staff seem to have given up. There's signs for sizes but everything is just thrown up like a goodwill store. Its extremely frustrating to shop in here today. I can't find anything in my daughter's size. What a mess. It says Kids Dresses, where are the dresses? The women's dresses are insulting. They have big women's shirts in the dress section. That's got to be a joke, right? I'm extremely disappointed. I talked to a woman who said she's been working there for 6 months and its always been that bad. I've, personally, never seen it this bad. She fed me a bunch of excuses, "its hard to look at and sort all the tags." Then why do the other locations still do that no problem? The guy with the accent said its not him, its the other employees. Not returning any time soon. I'll take the drive out to St Ann.

I have visited St. Vincent Dr Paul Thrift Store many times and always find something to take home. They are a second hand store and take donations of all kinds...clothing for the family, furniture, beds and bedding, kids your and a host of other household items. They currently have a sale on beds until the end of the month. I included their mattress buying guide in the photos. They accept debit, credit and cash for payments. They also have a frequent shopper rewards program that you can sign up for at the register. It's free to do so. They are ample parking and share the parking lot with a few other businesses. They accept donations from the public daily. The Staff was friendly and nice. I'll continue shopping here.
