Hy-Vee is our favorite grocery store. We prefer it over the others because of freshness and, mostly, value. I can tell the things that they charge a premium on to account for their cents off gas program, which is why I can't rate 5 stars. We don't buy gas their, but we help supplement their discount program. At any rate, they have an above decent beef counter and they go out of their way for the customer. Love this place.

Went in this afternoon July 21, 2022 at 430pm. Tried to buy some bread, coffee pods, bar cheese, few others. The self-check out kid, all of 16 at most, had to go back and forth to a big sale card with prices... nothing would ring up properly. The cheese sale wouldn't scan so she rudely said she'd have to check up front. She came back with her full arm extended at me and said "Jeff said NO!". I walked back to the dairy, took the sale cheese tag off, then went to the customer service desk. "Jeff" was a very fluid young man, about 21, dressed from an overnight school party, and standing with 4 other late teens employees. One of them spoke up and said he took the tag down because some "lady tried to buy alot". I won't shop there again. There are way too many places to get a good and fair price on groceries, without having to deal with mindless teenagers with no idea of simple manners and class. And, having to keep track of where you saw a sale price, which "ad" it was located in, or having to have some digital coupon saved to my cell phone is ridiculous.

I used the free delivery. It works for me. As long as you make it clear that they are to text or call you if the order can't be filled. That took a while and it still has bugs in it. Some shoppers for you are more conscientious than others. But their customer service, outstanding! They've always made it right and then some.5 stars for sure!

Hy-Vee has gourmet foods and huge cheese selection, and have a whole isle of gluten-free items. Fresh fruits and veggies. Weekly sales...so look at the ad.

Overall the store is very clean and the workers are friendly/helpful. Trying to figure out the app, rewards and points seems more difficult than it should be. Bakers has better deals and is easier to use.

This is one of the bigger, nicer, updated stores in town. The staff has always been nice. They have an updated self checkout area and even have the new full-sized self service checkout aisles (see photo). Good sized health food section and the store also has the attached liquor store.

Always impressed with the friendliness if the staff here. Stopped by the meat department to ask a simple question. The butcher generously answered, then gave a few helpful hints that helped---and greatly improved--my family meal planning for the week. Great people!

Ordered a "Designers Choice" bouquet for a funeral (I am out of state). The arrangement was beautiful, I was so pleased. The note was hand-written which I also loved. 10/10! The online ordering process was also very smooth and the flowers were delivered in good time.
