Poor Business practices! Employees turned away business in order to take a break at the same time. I was told to come back in 30 minutes. This Salon was inside Walmart so I did some shopping and returned in 40 minutes. Mona said that they would not do my hair because I didn't return in 30 minutes. I ask for the Supervisor on duty and was told that she wasn't there, so I ask for a number to contact her and the Mona scribbled a number on a card. As I tried to decipher the phone number Mona was on the phone to her boss to cover her self. I was finally able to contact her boss and as I suspected Mona had candy coated her side of the story. My suggestion is to not waste your time at Smart Style Hair Salon in the Fernley Nevada Walmart

My hair was completely destroyed by a stylist at a different location. I left there in tears. I attempted to fix the color myself & of course made it worse! I had a wedding coming up & needed it fixed fast. Mona did a temporary full color & it looked beautiful! I have continued to see her & gradually gone back to my signature blonde. There are surprisingly quite a few hair salons in this small town. I lived here for about four years now & can honestly say this place is my favorite! There are only 2 girls & they are usually booked. So make sure you have an appointment! Services: Hair highlighting, Hairstyling, Hair coloring

I scheduled a appointment online to make things quicker I pick the time that was available and easier for me and my my son since he would be out of school I took time off of work because my son is graduating and I wanted his hair to look nice I get a call In the morning and she didn’t sound very nice in general but she told me that I shouldn’t have been on her schedule and that she is overbooked and the only one working in the salon and I said well I booked it on your website and picked my time she cancelled my appointment online before he calling me I got an email about it she was very unprofessional and not nice when she called and told me that she couldn’t take my son because she is over booked and I told her that I booked it with the times they showed available and explained to her that I planned it to be off work and she didn’t seem to care and that was it so I feel she was very unprofessional on how she called and how she cancelled my appointment without my knowledge and without discussing it with me when I did everything I was supposed to with there website booking

My daughter wanted to get her hair cut. We made an appointment and everything was fine until we got there. I was not allowed to go back with my minor aged daughter while she was getting her haircut. I was told it was policy. Even though she was really nervous about getting her hair cut, I was ok with that, but for the majority of the time there was another worker( I was told it was the manager) talking with two people. One of which I heard them say, was a former employee. I wondered why I couldn't go back with my nervous daughter because of policy with covid-19, but a group of three people not getting cut or styled or any service I could see could stand together closely and talk? When I asked again for clarification on why I couldn't stand 6 feet away at least somewhat by my daughter, her stylist said..."you can speak with my manager, she's right here". I looked at the manager who was one of the three people standing together talking and she laughed at me. Made no attempt to speak to me or clarify anything. Just laughed at me. I paid for the service and even tipped. Her hair looked amazing. But we will not be back. Service: Hairstyling

Stood at the desk for 5 minutes or more making eye contact with one of the stylists while she continued to chat with one of her friends. It wasn't until I gave up and started to walk away that she decided she would come help me. At that point I was already over it and went down the street where I was not ignored.

Just got my haircut a few days ago by Kristine and I find myself smiling in the mirror a lot more already. She gave me a short pixie, listened to my being confused about which cut would be better for my face and helped me along with it. And then the color?? I've got these really pretty dark roots and these super pretty, slightly purple highlights. Like really subtle and when the light is catching them aaaah so fun!! Getting a little too excited about my hair just talking about it. Simply put, I love it. Thank you Kristine!

Kristine always cuts my hair to perfection!! I usually have a hard time getting a good men's haircut but not anymore. Moved to Reno but will always travel back to Fernley because I know I'll always look great after I leave.

Best place in Fernley hands down to get a haircut. Everyone there has a set schedule so it's easy to make an appointment and the overall quality of the haircut is 10x better than other barber ships in town. Kristine cuts my hair on a regular basis and always does a flawless job.

My experience was excellent! Hailey did a fantastic job on my color! All the girls there have such a wonderful attitude. Not only did I get a great hair coloring experience I got some much needed girl time. Everyone there treated me like one of the girls. The reviews prior than today must be from women who no longer work there because I didn’t get one bad vibe from these ladies. All the customers came in while I was getting color all left super happy. Hailey does such amazing work not only on the styling she made sure to check double check and triple check what I wanted. I noticed the other stylists were doing the same, which tells me there is a standard here and they set the bar pretty high, I’m glad. I am super picky when it comes to my hair, and although they are located in a busy Walmart you would hardly notice as they all gave me their undivided attention when it was just me in there. I now will not go any where else to get my color done. Thank you hailey and the ladies there today it was a lot of fun!
