Bank is terrible after opening an account online I was asked to go to a branch with my IDs. I went with my passport and my social security card. They said that they couldn’t verify my identity and closed the account. Terrible service in the branch as well. Employee kept arguing with me that my phone number was not in my name and that was a problem for them. I don’t recommend them at all.

My experience was exceptional! Came in without an appointment and was helped right away. I needed a complex transaction done which involved many steps, including updating old information. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and a wonderful gentleman teller (R) took care of me like I was VIP. In & out in 30 minutes, right before the lunch hour crowd. Sidebar: Let’s keep in mind that Capital One has been open during the pandemic while many other banks are STILL permanently closed.The staff has to endure wearing a hot mask for long hours while trying to clearly communicate with customers. They work long hours for little pay dealing with what makes the world go round..money. So PLEASE - Drink a bottle of Patience juice and chew some Just Be Kind gum before criticizing anyone currently working with the public. JMO, don’t come for me.

Capital One is a nightmare. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. My card can never be used. It gets instantly locked after any purchase. Then there is like a 2 week wait to unlock the card because they require all the documents in the world to unlock it. My card got locked 3 times in a row after unlocking it. Extremely unreliable and very bad customer services. Like i said. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone in the world.

Came from Wells Fargo and leagues better than them. However, I just went in to do a cash deposit and I can't speak for their other services (so I cant give 5 stars). When I went during COVID, all the teller booths were full so the line was quick. Only waited 3 mins in total.

Have an account, but am going to close it and take it elsewhere. When one needs wire transfer, the staff is not knowledgeable at all. They kept messing up the instructions many times and kept trying for 1 hr 45 mins to execute a single wire. Hardly anyone knows anything of banking terminology and keep calling each other to see what magic they're doing. They give an impression that they're still in college-life. This branch is not at all equipped to handle business transactions. They are not professional at all. Now there is a stereotypical response to my review. I had lodged a formal complaint with customer service and they said that the district manager 'Andrea' would get in touch with me. But no one has reached out. I have already begun transfers out of the account in order to finally close this account. I attribute my 'account closure' reaction to one irresponsible staffer 'Stefan Waldron' who actually asked me to leave the branch. Very appalling.

Great location, conveniently located on route 1, near the mall and super close to the new Jersey parkway. There is an atm, lots of parking, easy access on and off route 1, the people are very professional, service is always fast and friendly. If u need cash and are close by, stop in for sure...

As a Capital One customer for 3 years?, I’m not happy at this location. Every time I come here, there’s lack of knowledge. The associates are always socializing, laughing, having a good time with one another about personal life matters (nobody wants to hear that), meanwhile there’s only one teller working when the line is constantly forming. People come and go either get fired where you always see new faces and it’s not a great look. For me to live 5 mins away from this location, wanting to travel all the way to the Elizabeth location (Wonderful customer service over there, they get you out of there quick) instead is crazy, which I shouldn’t have to.

I have been reading all reviews particularly the response from the owner and must agree with the majority customers to this branch. My first ever experience with this bank was terrible. They have a signup terminal at the entrance which makes no sense because nobody from the banking team has a clue about their people wait time. After signup I waited for approx 30 mins, there were 4 - 5 staff members but they were all engrossed in discussions with their customers. This bank either lacks courtesy or training. Other banks are equally busy but prompt in their service. Capital One should stick to their Rewards business
