Overall good taste and nice service. But a little too sweet for Sichuan dishes.

If you're craving authentic Taiwanese and Spicy Chinese food, consistent quality and service Shu House is the best place that I've been to so far in Central Jersey. I highly recommend their Salt and White Pepper Chicken, Farmer's Style Chicken, Spicy Boiled Pot w. Fish, Ma La Xiang Pot, Xiang La Cumin Lamb.

The food has been deteriorating over the years, and it’s still not getting any better. The taste is so bland, and they all taste the same (even though they offer various options in the lunch selection). The lamb doesn’t taste like real lamb, more like artificial meat. They used the same ingredients and sauces all the meat dishes just varying degrees of peppers in there. Overall I am disappointed with this place.

Really impressed with this restaurant, and was surprised why I haven’t visited this place earlier. I am a big fan of the hot pots like dishes and this place excels at it. The service was awesome, fast, friendly and courteous. The food quantity was more than adequate and the quality is really fantastic. We ordered some appetizers and it came it pretty quick, was delicious and plenty for three. The entrees which we ordered from the “chefs specialty” section, was sumptuously delicious. The food taste authentic with the right level of spice rather than a toned down version. Overall, a gem of Chinese restaurant with awesome service and delicious food you wont want to miss if you are in the area.

My favorite item was the Spicy beef fresh hand-ripped noodles. Definitely will be back to try the lamb variation of this.

We've been ordering takeout/delivery from Shu House once or twice monthly for the last 8 months, and I can honestly say the food has been fresh and delicious every single time. Our favorites are the Singapore noodles and the shrimp or beef broccoli, but the pork pot stickers and the scallion pancakes are also a big hit at home. We love this restaurant!

OMG. Best Chinese food in central Jersey. We used to live in Singapore and missed good Chinese good. This place gets very close to the flavors. Red pepper chicken, hot pot and dumpling in hot chilly oil were amazing. We will definitely be back here. Owner was very good and honest.

Best Taiwanese food in central jersey, hands down. I use to dream about Taiwanese salt pepper chicken from our visits to Taiwan (awesome crunchy popcorn chicken with fried basil). I stopped dreaming when I visited Shu House. Amazing food, every dish we tried. Dreams completed. Prayers answered. Go here.

This was, without hyperbole, one of my most satisfying meals ever. 5 of us collectively had wontons in chili oil, quick st fried lotus root, vegetarian mapo tofu, dry fried brussel sprouts, sichuan farmer's dry pot lamb, and zhu ge grilled whole fish. I don't usually like mapo tofu or lotus root, and those two were my favorite items (3-way tie with the wontons). The dry pot lamb had a sweetness to it, which made it my least favorite, but I still liked it a lot. They are currently seating at 25% capacity, and therefore require reservations.
