This is an unsolicited review. Booked a private lesson and my instructor is Jake. What a blast! It is my third time surfing and I am still very beginner. Very nice instructor, clear instructions, beginner friendly water/wave, accommodative to my pace (I asked to have a 5-min break as I was exhausted and had a bit motion sickness) and Jake motivated me to learn more… I can pop up for several times with help from Jake. I also leaned a lot knowledge how to read waves and how to paddle. What an amazing experience. Thank you team. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing place! Just bought my first surfboard there and the owner Melissa was so helpful and informative making sure that I purchased exactly what I needed and got the best bang for my buck! Lauren, behind the counter, is also amazing. Had a lovely conversation and just made my day. This is the best surf shop to ever exist in NJ. Can't wait to shred the Knar!!!!🤙🤙

This is a review for their Lucky Dog Surf School. Great lesson, they do private 1-4 person classes on weekend mornings. $90 a lesson or discounted $10 if you do a three class package. Chris runs the surf school, very chill guy. Surf lesson lasts an hour, which includes gear: wet suit and a beginner board (usually 9 foot foamie). That's about enough time to get 3-5 decent waves. They also have an underwater surf photographer, which is pretty sweet. Note: their confirmation email and website lists an incorrect address at 909 Ocean Ave in Seabright. That will bring you to the parking lot of a private beach club. And the municipal lot is about a two mile walk away from the (current as of June 2021) true address, which is 344 Ocean Ave in Seabright.

i stopped in for a surfboard for my daughter and was greeted warmly i am lousy with names (she a great coffee cup :) the rep there was so helpful and patient i purchased a board and promised id be back when it was time for wet suits well i went back in and was treated as before as a "friend" not just a patron and got wet suits clothing and jewelry lol you can find many over priced tourist beach traps but finding a local caring company like lucky dog surf co is very rare ...support them !!! ps they are military friendly jcv 1st bat c co 175 rangers

My wife and I rented boards from them and they were super nice, helpful, and went above and beyond to help us get the last 2 boards available for that weekend. We did a 24 hour rental and the price was just right. We ended up buying a surfboard from these awesome ladies as well, and the service was excellent and price was on par as well. Could not recommend more. Guinness the lucky dog is a straight chiller as well, never met a more chill guy in my life.

While on vacation we stopped into a tres chic surf shop.. Lauren was super helpful and very customer service oriented. She even helped us find a great paddle boat co nearby! Lauren made our day, thanks for making the experience great!

I didn’t know how to surf. And I was nervous. And I am awkward anyways. But it looked so fun and I love the ocean! So finally I bit the bullet and I bought a couple lessons. It’s now on the top five best things I ever did behind moving to the beach, marrying my husband, having my kid, and dipping my French fries into my frosty before eating them. The entire staff was incredibly patient and knowledgeable and cheered me on at every step. Now I have my own board and a great place to pick up new gear and tips as I go. Thank you!! PS - I had never (I mean never, I’m serious) owned a pair of sweatpants before and I bought the ones from Lucky Dog and they are the softest most flattering thing and I am now a huge fan and considering a “SWEATPANT LYFE” tattoo across my stomach. So check those out too.
