We strive to make our surf store a happy, thriving gathering place for our beach community where everyone is always welcome to visit and stay awhile. We are a classic board shop and have more boards then clothes. We shape many of our boards on-site. There are always 100 new SUPs and 75 new longboard surfboards in-stock. We have a good selection of wetsuits and gear. Join us for stand up paddle board (SUP) tours & lessons, take a surf lesson, learn sup yoga or take a free ukulele lesson on Tuesday evenings in the summer. We also showcase musical talent as well as the work of local board shapers. And of course, old school surf movies are frequently seen playing on the walls of our wide-open store. I've done two eco-tours with the crew from South End Surf and Paddle, and both were fantastic experiences start to finish. The first tour was with my wife and was both of our first time on a SUP. Everyone was incredible at getting us comfortable on the board quickly and had us paddling the bay in no time. The second trip was this past week with my 10 year old and we had a blast! Everyone from South End treated us like family, took the extra time with her to get her comfortable and make her first trip a memorable one and a huge success. If you are thinking about doing a SUP tour or lesson, stop looking, stop thinking and give Ken and team a call. You WILL have a blast and there is no better way to spend a morning on the island! Unsure if you can do it? These guys have you covered! My family loved it so much we decided to take the plunge and invest in our own board today. Again South End came through with a borderline ridiculous selection of boards, and helped find the perfect board for our family. Everyone was insanely helpful, Ken personally helped us get the board setup and even made sure we got it strapped to the Jeep safe and solid for the haul home. We left with the board, paddle, leash, fins - everything we needed to get on the water, plus 3 excited kids looking forward to their turn for a ride. Can't say enough good things about these folks. Don't waste any more time reading reviews and give them a visit/call etc!

First time paddle boarding with the family and everyone had a blast! The instructors Rick and Hailey were awesome and total pros, especially with our group of 9 and two young ones with us (7 and 8). One went on his own and my daughter rode along with Hailey and then with me for half the tour. Lots of fun and a great deal, will come again!

Amazing experience! I signed up for private surf lessons for the first time. I had so much fun learning and will continue this journey. Staff was very helpful with sign up process and considered the conditions of the ocean when scheduling the day. I felt really comfortable with the instructor. Greg was super nice and patient. I booked a private lesson for my husband, a first time surfer, and he had a blast! His instructor, Johnny was encouraging and helpful throughout the lesson. Great place to check out and take lessons!

Great experience for our entire family. Friendly and knowledgeable staff had us on the water and paddling in no time. A leisurely trip around the bay enjoying the scenery and wildlife. 2 hours was a perfect length of time for our 1st excursion ! We'll be back!
