Just bought a Lakota 3 head for my son to string and was a great experience. Unlike the last few times we stopped by, the store was clean, tidy, organized and well stocked. Evan was fairly new but you could tell he was a real find and was doing an outstanding job. He was super helpful and very professional. Would give 5 stars but the other times we went to the store in the last year the store was a mess and we took our business to another unnamed store in Latham. Maybe separate the back end where some head stringing work is done from customers with at least with a half wall? Small loyalty discounts for local teams / long time shoppers could certainly help drive a 5 star rating as well.

Hello! I’m not sure who to contact, but I’m sitting in front of your store trying to pick up my daughters stick they we dropped off last week to be restrung. The store is closed at it is 5:36pm. We were told it would be done on Monday we called and it wasn’t done. I was told to come back yesterday after 1pm as it was the next in line to be done by the girl that was coming in at 11. We came at 3:30pm, not only was her stick not done, it wasn’t even in the store, “the girl” took it home. I came back today as I was promised it would be here. It is 5:36pm, the store open sign is in the window and no one is here. I’ve called the number listed and it goes to a personal voicemail box that is full. I don’t know what has happened to this store. We’ve been very loyal customers for 3 kids that all play LAX over many years. EDITED TO ADD: I changed my 1 star review to 3 stars. After calling the corporate number I did receive a call back. They did apologize and the stick was hand delivered to my home and apology made by the local manger at no cost.

What the heck happened to this place? It feels like an empty attic at times.... I was an avid shopper here, but I can’t say I’ll be back. Within the last 6 months or so, it just seems to be let go. Inventory is practically the same. Ordering never comes in for the shaft my son wants. My daughter can’t seem to get the stringing she wants, the way she wants... disappointing. Last years manager was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Nicki is a great help as well.... but other than that, what happened...? Sorry Universal, this Shen mother is going elsewhere from now on...

Universal Lacrosse I have shopped at your store. My daughter played lacrosse for Shen. We have purchased things in your store in the past and had her stick restrung more than once. 3 stars means you are just okay. You're not bad. All of my reviews are places that Google found in my history where I have been. As you can see, I have given out 5's to places that I loved, and 4's to places I liked. And 3's to places that are just okay.

The staff at Universal are so knowledgable, professional and helpful! Their customer service is amazing. There is no better store in the area for all of your lacrosse needs. The store is well stocked and what they don't have, they quickly order for you.
