Went to Barney’s on 05/17/22 because an older gentleman had helped me out with an old stove knob on a prior occasion. He was great. However, i went there looking for another item & the clerk didn’t even acknowledge my presence. I’m African American. I waited patiently in line behind a gentleman, who graciously stepped aside so the two employees could see I was waiting. Gave her ample time to finish with a customer on the phone. She got off and acted as if I was invisible. I waited some additional minutes before walking out, at the same time another gentleman of the Caucasian persuasion came in wearing a bike helmet and as I exited the store I could hear her asking the customer how can she assist him.

The Best!!! They always have what you need, no wandering around a big box store and if on a rare occasion they do not have what you need, they tell you where to get it.

This is what a hardware store is supposed to be. It's a time capsule . A family owned business whith knowledgeable staff that have what you need or will get it for you.

0 Stars wasn't possible. I wanted to support small businesses and this place was suggested, not recommended, just suggested. The people were horrible. Dropped off my snowblower and the older man acted as if he could care less about servicing the equipment. After a month, snowblower's still not fixed. People are very rude over the phone. I hope this horrible treatment isn't because I'm a woman. They wouldn't dare speak to a man in such a manner.

Walking in Barney's Hardware store is like walking back in time. And that's a good thing. The nostalgia will literally greet you at the door. And when you walk in, you are immediately introduced to the well-worn wood flooring that hasn't seen treatment for ages. You'll be somewhat struck by the seemingly haphazard organization and cluttered look. But just ask for help and immediately, you'll be brought back to an era when the owner was glad you came, desirous to help and has what you need. I came looking for picture hanging supplies. The display was meagerly stocked and at first I was disappointed. But with a short conversation by the owners, they came out from the back with everything I could possibly want. I'll be back, if for nothing else than to take in the atmosphere and appreciate a business that is owner operated and displays true customer service.

I left Home Depot seeking for specific pods for plumbing unfortunately home cheapo did not have it. I was directed towards Barneys hardware store and found the most intelligent, kind, detail oriented sales person. Has amicable nature and patience in solving problem was beyond my expectation. I was able to find the right parts within 3 to 5 minutes , After spending one hour at Home Depot without any assistance. He took his time, explained, video call with my contractor and solve the problem. They are the very best Ever .
