They are so slow and have dumb hours they don’t open until 10 am stupid. I thought they where supposed to be faster then going to er but it’s the same wait time. It always takes over 3 hours and half the time you don’t get diagnosed right same as going to a er. Get a urgent care operator that’s willing to open the doors b4 10 AM

Imagine getting stung by a bee, not knowing if you are allergic or not, then your foot swelling up and hurting. Then imagine going to here and getting checked out and told nothing is wrong and it is normal. Then having intense pain over the next two days and having to take off of work, all just to find out part of the stinger is still in there... the actual primary doctor was shocked because it was there for three days and Urgent Care did nothing. These guys are supposed to be trained right? Close to losing the limb...

We brought our 10 yr old into urgent care due to a hurt hip, after 7 days his hip wasn't any better. We waited to be taken in the back for about 20 mins not bad at all seeing as how there was patients before us. When we got to the room where his vitals were done and we explained what happened. 15 mins later the PA walks in, asked what was going on. Me being the mom i have a hard time not letting my little guy answer for himself., the doctor politely reminded me that he needed to hear how my son felt with his own words. I wasnt offended one bit, it was all about his attitude. Long story short he had our son dona bucnch of different stretches, twists and bends then sent for xrays. He was thinking just bruises soft tissues. He was taking a long time to come back and we were like maybe an emergency happened, he came back in had our son done more moves then went back out. He was on the phone with the radiologist explaining how bad his pain was and he just felt there was something wrong with his hip. The radiologist said his xray was normal. The doctor still didnt believe that, being only 10 he was qorried about his growth plate. He was not ok sending him home limping so he sent him home NWB on crutches and needed an ortho appt. Come to find out he fractured his L hip growth plate, if he wouldve walked around for those 3 weeks while waiting for ortho appt he would've had way more damage. I was very thankful the PA/doctor made rhat that decision. He respected the radiologist but he ultimately felt differently. I feel he was how all doctors should be ...thorough and cautious that something just wasnt right.

I hate that I cannot put 0 stars. This Urgent care is the worst medical facility I have ever been to. Every time I have visited whether for myself or one of my children (about 4 times) they were more concerned about getting home than they are about people. They used to close at 8 PM and if you walked in 45 minutes before that you would be treated as if you had just ruined their entire day. Apparently now they close at 7pm... Correction, they advertise that they close at 7pm but they are actually in their car by 7pm as I witnessed today when I brought in my sick daughter. They should not pretend to be an urgent care facility. They are just an overpriced primary care center who do not care about people. The whole point of an urgent care is to be available after normal business hours when patients can’t wait until their primary doctor is available and to have an alternative to costly emergency rooms. I recommend using Immediate Care which are much more professional facilities. The only reason we gave GUC another chance tonight was because my daughter was in pain and this is the closest place!! In the end, we ended up in Immediate Care anyway. Never again!!

This was our first visit here. We walked in about 15 mins before close, unfortunately, but we were never treated as an inconvenience. Luckily, there was no wait. Our 2 year old fell and sliced his knee open. He ended up needing 5 stitches which is a long process holding a 2 year old down to do so. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurses to the Nurse Practitioner was friendly , caring and professional. I have no complaints. I hope we won't ever need to go back, but if we do, I hope it goes as smoothly as this visit.

I went there on 4/5/19. The front receptionist was very pleasant. The nurse was professional and friendly which made it easy and comfortable to talk to her. When I seen the Dr. (Bob), I thought he was excellent. He knocked and sat down to ask what was going on and how he could help. Sitting down to someone else's level shows respect and great interpersonal skills. He was attentive and listened. The Dr explained what his plan was and what I needed to do. I appreciated all he did as I've been experiencing terrible pain and can't get into my personal Doctor until after the weekend. My total time there was 1 and a half hours which I believe is reasonable. Medical offices, ER's and urgent cares can have all kinds of things have throughout the day and its unpredictable and people should realize that. I was very happy with my experience at Gowanda Urgent Care and the people who assisted me.

Usually when I go here, the staff are all super nice. But today, when I went the nurse on duty was the ridiculously rude toward me. She didnt respect me as patient by talking about my medical needs in the waiting room with other patients around. Not too sure what happened in her life today but she was clearly not right. I wouldn't expect an RN to talk about a patients needs in front of others.

We waited over an hour with no other patients there with two sick children. Then we were told they were having problems with their computer and couldn’t possibly see anyone until it was fixed because they had no way to document anything. I don’t know of any facility in the country that doesn’t have a downtime policy and the paper to document in these cases. I have worked as a nurse for 40 years and obviously we had done all the over the counter things for days for the kids before we went there. The PA was yelling at us before even checking the kids prior to getting to an exam room. This urgent care is not identified as homeopathic but that is all he preached about while we were there and did nothing. I have always liked this urgent care but would never risk running into this PA again.

I went there yesterday 10/29/15 to have an EKG done on my three year old daughter. Have a two hour wait we a nurse come in, apparently the only nurse in charge, and give us a nasty attitude. When my daughter got scared from having a test done that had never been before on her and saw all wires, the nurse said she had other important people to see and a patient in the next room who was bleeding, for two hours, and walked out. What that nurse doesn't know and never bothered to asked is we have a family history of heart problems on both sides of the family, it was recently discovered that my daughters heart is skipping a beat which is why her doctor order an EKG. And they reason she is afraid of doctors is because only two weeks ago she had to have her knee drained and has been terrified of that place since. My daughter is only three and "nurse" treated her like crap because she was a crying kid. My family won't be going there again!
