Hidden costs. This business actually charges you to move your container to the next site on top of charging the initial delivery and monthly rental of the pod. I scheduled to have he POD picked up on a Friday and they never showed up. When i called to find out where they were, I was told it was scheduled for Saturday which I never scheduled on a Saturday since I work. I was never sent ant communication from them. I will never use them again. Do no use them . Hidden costs and lack of communication is their downfall. My recommendation is stay far far away

Completely lied about delivery date after I specifically asked during initial quote as I had a vacation planned. PODS did not even contact me on the day it was supposed to be delivered I had to call them. They said it was a mistake, I waited on hold for 3 hours to speak with a supervisor that never was contacted, an "incident" report was filed, no one ever contacted me again. POD delivered over 14 days late causing me to have to cancel my vacation. When the POD arrived at destination 3 days early NO ONE contacted me to tell me or try to schedule an earlier delivery. The customer service agent apologized profusely and kept me on hold to appease me. Once I read other reviews I realized this is the companies typical scam and isn't worth spending hours trying to get a discount or speak with a supervisor. The only thing I can do is share reviews about the awful experience with PODS and make sure no one I know ever considers using this service.

The PODS organization in Albany, NY employs incompetent and unprofessional drivers. I moved from Haverhill, MA. The drivers in that area always called ahead to give me an approximate arrival time. The container was delivered to my Saratoga area home June 25. The local based driver called to tell me he was parked in front of my house. Unprofessional - yes but only a minor inconvenience since I was expecting delivery AT SOME POINT that day. I went out to meet the driver and move my vehicle from the driveway. The driver proceeded to back into my driveway to position the POD. In the process, he backed over my mailbox, completely destroying it. He phoned his supervisor for guidance and handed his phone to me. The supervisor told me I would be reimbursed for the destruction. One month later and three phone calls to PODS "Customer Service" with more empty promises, I am still without my custom mailbox. (I cobbled together a temporary mailbox for my mailman.) This organization is unprofessional and unwilling to accept responsibility for their driver's incompetence. The guilty driver returned July 27 to remove the empty container. He questioned me about my reimbursement for the damages. I informed him the whole PODS organization was unresponsive. He then provided the name and phone number of the Albany-Saratoga area manager (John Raleigh). I discovered John does not regularly answer his phone and the voicemail mailbox is full . I learned that if I call many times consecutively, he will finally answer. After some discussion, he promised to deliver my reimbursement check today (July 30). Based on the unresponsiveness of the whole PODS organization, it should not come as a surprise that he did not show up – not even a courtesy phone call to advise me why he could not keep his commitment.

Terrible company and customer service. I would never use them again and would never recommend to anyone unless you want damages done to your property. Their drivers are not trained and do not know how to move the storage unit properly. It took this driver over 2 hours to move it out of a straight driveway because he had no clue how to properly use the controls. By him not knowing how to move the unit, he proceeded to cause damage to the first driveway at pickup by putting huge scrapes throughout the driveway from dragging the container along because he had no idea how pick it up correctly. Then once he finally got the unit to the second location, my brand new house and paved driveway, he proceeded to have more trouble unloading there as well. This location had an even shorter, straighter driveway. He proceeded to drop the unit on the driveway several times and caused damages to our driveway leaving a hole. The driver called us 2 hours after he left to “call out of courtesy that he had put a hole in our driveway. ” I filed a claim with PODS for the damages they caused and there response back was: “Our investigation has established that the damages to the driveway may have been caused by normal operation of the unit, delivery truck, and related equipment; though we found no mishandling and no other cause of loss was identified. A PODS employee may call to inform you of a loss, but not because fault is established.” But there website clearly states: Will a PODS delivery damage my driveway? PODS uses a hydraulic lift system, PODZILLA, designed to position the container safely on your driveway. They state that in the agreement we signed states that “you agreed to assume full risk for and release PODS from any damage to your premises resulting from PODS' delivery services. Should you desire, you may view the rental agreement by accessing your PODS online account.” But very conveniently, that rental agreement is gone off of my account. I’m very disgusted in this company for the damages they have caused and do not own up to.

Our cross country move was a major undertaking. While we were satisfied with the POD itself, and the courtesy of the drivers, it took 20 days for our POD to arrive at the new house. Way too long. We would definitely seek alternatives in the future.

PODS made moving so much better. We used them a few years ago when we were moving out of state and the storage unit's location closed early and we had ALL of our belongings in a 26ft truck. We had nowhere to put our stuff and I started a job the next business day. PODS put out 3 containers in their parking lot for us when there closed to help us out. The customer service was top-notch!! We moved back to Ohio from NY and knew we would use them again. It made moving so much easier!!

Getting a POD from pods moving and storage was a pleasure! This company is so reliable and informative and quick responses! I wish I would have known about this a long time ago! I highly suggest getting a POD especially for long distance moves. Everything went very smoothly and there is an online access for everything! Definitely five stars from our family! Their website is absolute trash and so is the so-called customer service chat. Not only did the person make my situation worse, they also accused ME of being on the phone with customer service at the same time, thus causing the problems. This was not true at all. The person on chat did not understand what a "pull off" from the road was, nor could they understand that I did NOT want to send my POD to a storage facility. When she scheduled the move to the new location the city was wrong. So, I gave up on that and at that point called customer service. After a 22 minute wait, with the terrible hold music that they seem to have stolen from a prescription commercial that was interrupted every 30 seconds to remind me of how great their terrible website is. The person removed the storage option BUT the city for delivery is still wrong and every time I tried to fix it, the website says something went wrong. Should have just rented a damn UHaul and been done with this. Moving is stressful enough - didn't need the incompetence of PODS making it worse. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN.

PODS was so easy to use. I scheduled the deliveries online, the POD showed up and was picked up as scheduled. Customer service reps were friendly and helpful on the phone. Delivery drivers were efficient and pleasant. So easy to load/unload - great way to move!

We had a great experience with PODS. It provided us time to pack and load the POD as we were able to. And the POD provided us with a way to secure our belongings, keeping them safe until we were ready to unload them. The times offered for pickup and relocation were very convenient and we did not have to wait long to have the POD moved or picked up. We didn't even to be there when the driver picked up the POD to relocate it to our new house. Also, our items in the POD did not shift at all during transit thanks to the advice on packing provided by the PODS Website. Would highly recommend this service.
