Exceptional customer service. People who greet you and offer to help with finding items or answering questions. Cashiers are courteous and speedy. Prices comparable with big box stores but with a much higher level of customer service.

Valu Home Centers has always been my go to when i need somthing small and quick. I find that they have a great selection and in some cases cheaper prices on items that big box stores carry. On a more recent vist they took the time to look for a special lead acid battery for my flashlight. Even though they diden't have the battery in the store they never dismissed it and carfuly reviewed the possibility to order it for me. The store does carry special plumbing fittings like sharkbite if you looking to do D.IY. The do have onsite cutting if you need that service. They really have everything that a normal hardware store has just in a much better floor plan.

This was a nice, medium-sized hardware store. Bigger than a lot of competing local-level hardware stores, but smaller than your typical big box store. I was greeted right away by the cashier who engaged me in weather convo, and pointed me in the direction I needed for what I was seeking. As I decided to look around for anything else I may have wanted, the other employees roaming the store also greeted me and asked if I needed any help in finding anything. It was nice, clean, well-stocked and had a bit of everything. I'll be back should we be in the area again and have any hardware needs.

When I went into Value Home Centers in Owego, everyone was so friendly and helpful. It makes me very anxious to go back again, and they have so many interesting things in there. I rate them as high as the numbers can go! They are great!
