Brenna is an artist when she cuts my hair. Brings out the best in my hair and I always love what she has done at the end of the visit. I get so many compliments and I am happy to recommend her and Root Down to others. She is so warm and friendly as are all the staff there! They care about their customers beyond taking care of their hair needs. It's a joy to get my hair done in such a warm and positive salon. I'm local and a regular customer- love you guys! Brenna provided me superior hairapy that I was in desperate need for. I had received a cut and highlight from another local salon. Needless to say my hair was fried after that visit. My husband recommended Root Down as an alternative because he had witnessed some of their work when he was working there. He called and made me an appointment which I was also given a consultation for. Brenna saved my self esteem and provided me with beautiful hair. Thank you Brenna. If I could give this salon a negative star for the way they treated new potential client, I would. I met with one of the owner’s nearly a month again following their protocol of a consult first and paid my $25 deposit. At checkout I was given 2 appointments scheduled for Friday’s at noon. Tomorrow was to be my first appointment. This morning I received the electronic reminder that the appointment for tomorrow was for 9AM. I graciously called the salon to see if there was a mix up and spoke with receptionist. All she said, “I did not make your appointments, so I do not know, but I have you down for 9 AM.” I asked her if there was any way they could accommodate me later. Soon thereafter Briana the owner (that I had the appointment with) called me back. Now, I get it, there could have easily been a mix-up since they are a heavily booked salon. However, the way you speak, your tone, and attempt to resolve the situation speaks volumes about a business owner. Briana was extremely defensive stating, “there is no way the appointment was ever for noon because she had booked others long ago.” Her tone was just NASTY! Needless to say, I would not give this entity the opportunity to every obtain me as a client. I guess they really do NOT need new business NOR value LOCALS. I am excited and thankful that have a new stylist who so kindly changed her schedule to accommodate me tomorrow after she heard of this. Again, it wasn’t about the app’t time mix up, these things happen. However, there is absolutely no reason to have a nastiness in your communication. Karma will return one day.

Root Down is a lovely salon with a great atmosphere. Brenna did a great job on my hair and right after I left I went to a meeting and had compliments on the style. I was so happy with the way she did my hair, I made appointments for the next 3 months!

Great protocol during the pandemic. I felt very safe. I hadn't gotten a haircut in over a year and James did a phenomenal job. She gave me a long bob and colored my hair a fun icy blonde. She did exactly what I asked. The products are sustainable and they smell bright and fresh. The packaging also looks very flattering on my bathroom shelf. I recommend root down for a modern or classic hairstyle and for any beauty products you may need.

Chad does an amazing job and makes me feel at home in his salon. The entire staff is welcoming. I have referred numerous friends and they have all loved their results.
