The problem with this store is the blonde manager. She has attitude and entirely disrespectful. I will never shop there again and encourage everyone I know to do the same. The blonde manager is toxic, making for a toxic experience.

This location has a good bit of space, everything's well organized & clean for the most part. The customer service was a tad lacking but nothing terrible. I didn't find anything during my first visit here but many others seemed to find quite a few items they were interested in purchasing. This store primarily seemed to focus on clothing over anything else. So if that's what you're looking for then you should swing by and see what they have to offer.

I didn’t plan to write this review but I saw that other customers have had a similar experience with the staff recently and I wanted to make sure that management is aware of this ongoing problem. It’s very unfortunate but I do not plan to return to this store because of the experience I had today. The employee that harassed us did not have a name tag but I did notice she had a pin that said “everything sucks” on her vest and another one that was an image of a cat in an astronaut suit. She had short brown hair and dark glasses. She was probably in her 20s. She was very rude as she let me into the dressing room. When I thanked her for unlocking the door, she just grunted. This would not have concerned me, as I understood that she was likely busy and might not be having a good day. However, two minutes into trying on clothes, she aggressively pounded on the door. I replied that the room was occupied, assuming that she was checking for another customer. She shouted “I know, one of you needs to leave the dressing room right now.” My friend and I have been going to this Goodwill since we were kids and have never had anyone request that we change separately. There was also no sign on the door indicating that this was a rule. She was waiting outside the door, arms folded, glaring when my friend left the dressing room. Her overall demeanor was so aggressive throughout our shopping experience, we left as quickly as possible. We also noticed that other customers were visibly uncomfortable around her. The rest of the staff were kind and friendly as always and it was very disappointing to be driven out of the store by such an openly aggressive employee. I understand that everyone has bad days and that working as a Goodwill employee can be a stressful job. I have respect and appreciation for people who work in customer service, I know customers can be rude and I make an effort to be an easy-going and respectful customer wherever I go. I have never had an employee yell at me. It was a shock. After reading the recent reviews of other customers, I believe this employee is behaving this way on a regular basis. This really concerning and I think management should address this and that customers should be aware.

I loved this goodwill so much. It always has more to offer considering the college students tend to go to the other location in Boone. The problem though is the staff is getting extremely mean and aggressive towards customers. Yesterday I went to this location and was rudely followed and stopped multiple times by an employee. She was upset with my friends and I for going into a dressing room together, stating,"it says on the door that only one person is allowed at a time", but there was no sign on the door. She called us rude and disrespectful even though all we said in return were apologies. Just entering the Goodwill I could hear employees loudly complaining about customers and how they did not want us there. It was disappointing and it makes me not want to go back. If I was spoken to properly I would absolutely understand the new rule being placed about dressing rooms, but I wasn't. The staff members were all women, the rudest one being an older lady with a very short hair.

We were in this location on Friday and walked out after glancing at a few over priced items. Goodwill is getting disappointing across the board. Prices are getting high and they don't seem to care what quality of item they put out on the shelves. The round up question is a insult. Stick to the locally owned Thrift Stores in stead of the corporation.

The Goodwill in Boone NC on Boone heights drive is absolutely amazing. You will definitely need a buggy with all the great finds that are available. The clothes look like they came out or a boutique.

I’ve never had an issue in this store prior however yesterday’s adventure to Goodwill was not the same. The point of this store is to bring in money to help fund jobs. I watched one employee’s attitude send two people out the door that were waiting to check out. Thankfully the tall skinny lady ringing my items up was very pleasant and friendly. The other lady who has brown hair and rather short snapped at a costumer that was approaching the other register advising him that her side was closed. It caught my attention because her tone and attitude were very aggressive. You could tell it caught the gentleman off guard as well. He walked to the side I was on and then set his item down and left. Not long after that she did the same to another gentleman. Who set his item down and walked out. I am sure both would have continued with their purchase if she had been professional in her approach. Two purchases not made due to her attitude. Maybe some education on customer service needs to be given. Rating four stars because of pleasant lady that I personally dealt with.

Very poor management, this store (36) does take advantage of the customer on the hunt for used donated items. They have put many electronic items out on the floor that don't work - I have tested many on site and I've found out on many items - they are just selling broken untested junk at higher prices than other GW stores. That's poor management, wastes anyones money and time. The store is worth a look but take the time to be cautious and reinspect the stuff they are putting out to sell. Otherwise you will face a hassled return even if you return the outlined items within the 7 day return policy. This Goodwill #36 gets the home of the Hassle return award and poor rude customer service...
