Shore Details has been our property manager since 2017 and this was our first time being rental property owners. There were growing pains figuring out the best methods to rent and maintain the home but we are overall very satisfied with the terrific job they have done. They communicate very well and are responsive to our and renters needs. They are always looking for innovative ways to improve both the property management process and to make renters experience more enjoyable and memorable. The last couple years have been challenging but Shore Details keeps improvising to adapt to the changing environments as we’ve seen yearly improvements in rental income. Highly recommend them for any property management needs!

Shawna at Shore Details helped my family book a successful wheelchair accessible beach home in Salvo. The house we stayed at was perfect for our family size, with a fully working and dependable elevator. Shore Details was responsive and helpful with all questions in planning. Their rental contracts and insurance I think are very fair and balanced leaving less worry and work on our end. The location in Salvo is so quiet and peaceful - whether it was a walk to the beach over the dune or relaxing by the pool, it was 💯 leisure vacation!

Just a great group of people who always went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of each week. Jennifer in the front office and Chris in maintenance put our minds at ease. We booked a 4x4 with this company last week and it was a horrific experience. Not only was the jeep filthy, couldn't even see out the windshield, but it wasn't safe. The breaks barely worked and it was terrifying. The windshield wipers didn't work and we drove through some heavy rain. When it did rain, the rain came through the dashboard and ruined my purse. The glovebox fell on to the floor when opened. We were promised a shovel in case of getting stuck while driving on the beach, there was no shovel. We couldn't even drive the beach due to the un-safeness of the vehicle which was the entire point of the rental. When informing the company of the unacceptable condition of the 4x4 they took our money to rent, their response was "thanks, we'll get it fixed". Response to the management response: We are experienced jeep drivers and off-road often. The jeep we paid to drive was unsafe and as I stated previously. No working window wipers, the jeep stalled out several times, brakes were slow to respond and we nearly rear-ended someone. I will be reaching out to the BBB.

Because of Hurricane Dorian the house we rented was uninhabitable. Shawna patiently helped me get another house and figure out the trip insurance details.I highly recommend Shore Details. The only problem we had were the grease ants that were crawling around. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.

I planned my vacation as Dorian was projected to hit Florida and move into the gulf. I waited as different levels of the evacuation of Hatteras lifted only to learn that Dorian had damaged the property I had chosen. I waited in a hotel in Kill Devil Hills for word from Shore Details. I kept an attitude of gratitude because while my vacation was side tracked, the people of Hatteras had their lives upended not to mention the devastation of Ocracoke. Even more perspective if you consider the Bahamas. Shawna Kiricoples with Shore Details went above and beyond and found me an alternate property that was perfect. Thank you Shawna and Shore Details.

We have been very pleased with the work Shore Details has been doing this summer at Crosswind Landing, our cottage in Frisco. Even though we started booking late in the season due to renovations and lost a week in July, resulting in only 7 rental weeks, I still consider 2017 a success. This was our first year managing the house on our own and I have been very happy with the results of our "experiment". Nearly all of our guests submitted online reviews, all of which were 5 stars! One of the consistent themes across each review was comments on how clean the house was, which was directly attributable to the efforts of your staff. Even our guests who stayed during the when the power first went out, and the fire alarms started going off, was very complementary of your efforts to rectify the issue. Please share this positive feedback and our sincere thanks for a job well done. I already have four weeks booked for next year and anticipate a full calendar for next summer. I look forward to continuing to work with Shore Details in 2018!

We have been coming to the same house In Avon for 4 years and each year we have different needs and questions. The first year we were there for our daughter's wedding and since for vacation. Every year Shore Details has been wonderful! They answer our questions, provide great information and services and have been a God send. We rented a Jeep at Fish Tales though the Shore Details office twice. We were able to explore Hatteras Island off-road with ease. The Jeeps were clean and in great shape. They come with a cooler, fishing rod holder and the ORV permit is included in the rental price. The people at the office were friendly and made renting easy and fast.

This is our first year owning a beach house and we were extremely nervous to rent it out because we put so much into our renovation. When I came upon Shore Detail I felt that they were the best fit to meet our needs. After meeting Pam we felt very good about taking the leap of faith and putting our cottage in their hands. Since being with Shore Details this year, our experience has been wonderful. Our cottage is spotless when guests arrive. I am a clean nut and I can't say enough about the housekeeping crew they have on staff. Dana goes over and above to accommodate our needs with our guests. She is awesome. We have had a few times where something has come up that needed immediate assistant. They were there quickly rectifying or making sure the problem was taken care of immediately. I have nothing but praise for their maintenance team. If you are considering renting your cottage out but maybe a little nervous with VRBO....don't be! Pam makes everything easy for us! Our reviews are amazing. Please read them. This is due to a combined effort between Shore Details and ourselves to make sure the guests are happy and have a wonderful vacation experience. I would highly recommend Shore Details!
