Best Moscow Mule ever had. They make their ginger beer in house so you've never had one like it and you won't find another one that compares. Boyfriend had the shrimp and grits which were better than any found on the coast. I had the duck which was delicious. The breast was served sliced, perfectly done and the leg was so good I had to pick up to eat, not caring what a nice restaurant I was in. I could not let any go to waste!

We went to shine for Brunch, and it was delicious! They made an adjustment to the Eggs Benedict to make them vegetarian. Good coffee! If you are vegetarian, I would only come here for Dinner or Brunch, the Lunch menu does not have many vegetarian options besides salads. Vegetarian options: They made adjustments to the eggs Benedict for me.

We went here on a Sunday night, when about half the restaurants are closed in Hendersonville. We were told they had great food and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately for us, our experience wasn't that stellar. I started off with the Sazerac for a drink and it was a little sweet. For appetizers we got the pork belly skewers and once again the sauce they covered them in tasted overly sweet. For dinner my wife order the french dip sandwich which was very good. The bread was nice and soft on the inside and just crunchy enough that it was a nice texture. I ordered the Bahn Mi sandwich and it was very disappointing. The bread was burnt and very hard. The pickled vegetables on top were very bland and not much flavor. Next time we are in town we will probably try somewhere else. I might have just ordered the wrong thing and the other food is great, not really sure.

Nice outdoor dining area & great service. Crab cakes were good, not great. Prosciutto salad was excellent. Burgers & fried chicken sandwiches were very good. She crab soup was just ok. Nice ambiance on the inside, but we ate outside.

Fantastic food and ambiance. It was lively without being noisy. Exquisite menu options with great flavor. A great place to take your partner for a special date. We ordered a Cuban and shrimp tortellini, along with ginger beer and the chocolate mousse cake thing (I forget the name). My only issue was the prices seemed very steep compared to what we walked in anticipating to pay (according to the Google reviews). I also might recommend to management for prettier salt/pepper shakers/grinders, they were underwhelming when brought to our table.

I was underwhelmed throughout most of the dining experience. Most of it came down to the food itself. You are paying close to fine dining prices but not getting the fine dining experience. We started with the pork belly bites and baguette. The herb butter that came with the baguette was great, and the baguette was soft and crunchy. The pork belly bites were cooked properly, but the dish felt a bit sweet with the orange sauce that the pork was covered in. The slaw that came with it added a nice texture, but it was also sweet. I ordered the tempura soft shell crabs and again, the crab was cooked properly, but it was really sweet this time. They put way to much sweet chili sauce or whatever sauce they were using on it, and it overpowered the dish. Shine has some good things going on, but in my opinion I felt that the dishes could be done differently.

The staff at Shine was top notch! Tammy and Conner were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We had a large group and they were able to fit us in despite our size! Thank you so much for answering questions for those with dietary restrictions and others who just needed more information about the food. I’m sure we were a difficult table since most of our group was 45 minutes late to the reservation. We are so grateful that we were treated with respect as we waited with our appetizers for the rest of the group to arrive. The food was pretty average with other places but the staff was exceptional! Food was beautifully plated, the panko shrimp were yummy, sweet potatoes were delicious, and cheesecake was the best I’ve had while eating out! Thanks again for being so great to us! Would definitely recommend!

We were visiting the area from Cleveland OH. I was looking for a great place to take the family for a nice dinner. I'm so pleased we picked Shine for our meal! Food was AMAZING! The restaurant itself was stylish! And the service was first class!

There are not enough good things to say about Shine. Definitely our favorite restaurant downtown! The Thai Beef and Scallops is incredible as well as the pasta dishes. After a couple bourbon smoothies you’ll be a little sloshy too and the food is a perfect pairing.

My wife and I visited this restaurant for a special occasion, and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed the Tomahawk steak special (must be ordered at least 24 hours prior to your visit), which was perfectly cooked for our tastes. We ordered an appetizer special of chicken liver pate and added the 1/2 baguette to accompany it. Service was attentive, good ambiance, lively without being noisy. We enjoyed the experience. Definitely would return in the future.
