Smitherman’s besides being running distance from my house in Lewisville is such a great little hardware store. It has basically anything you could need for home, lawn, and garden at very fair prices and the staff is always helpful. I love that it’s locally owned and I will gladly support them as long as they’re around.

Ran in to pick up a chain for my son's chainsaw. Loved the parking at the curb, then running in to get a human to help right away. Wow!

One of my favorite stores. I try to find a reason to go every week if my schedule allows. Just a great local business and I’ve never had any issues. I’ve bought everything from yard equipment to parts, hardware, birdseed and everything in between. I’ve also gotten repairs there. Cost and turnaround times were appropriate for the specific repair and time of year.

Needed air filter for a Husqvarna leaf blower and they were the only place in a 25 mile radius including Husqvarna dealers that had one in stock. Person in the parts department was even nice enough to pull the filter off of the shelf and put my name on it so I could come by and pick it up the next day instead of having to order one from somewhere else and having to wait on it to be delivered.

Smitherman’s is the BEST! We have gotten a weed wacker and leaf blower and we’re extremely happy with the customer service. We are new to a lot of yard work, not knowing much, and they were so helpful in picking out something that works best for us and teaching us how to use everything. So friendly and helpful and the products are great. I highly recommend!

These folks did a general service and new blades on a mower I had never had one problem with over the years. Since they serviced it in the spring, I've had continued issues with the deck. It mows uneven and one of the belts keeps coming off. They have had it three times now I pay the bill and pay for them to pick it up and drop it back off each time. The problem is they just keep NOT fixing anything because he says it mows perfectly for them in their test area. He says there is nothing wrong with my mower. Which is pretty weird because the belt keeps coming off and it mows like it has half a blade. They last had it a month ago and when I called today to tell them the belt was off, again, I was told they would be happy to take some more of my money to do nothing about a problem that as far as they are concerned, is doesn't exist because it wasn't replicated on their test strip. It's a shame, I hate to have hard feelings with these folks. They've been around a long time and I know the community likes them.

This is a great local hardware store. They have dirt, compost, basic tools, all the usual. I haven't been able to get some of the more unique parts here but totally expected for a small store. It seems to be owned by a family and run with a small group of close individuals. Everyone is friendly and helpful when you need anything at all. Great work on keeping the small town hardware store feeling I grew up with alive! Love it :)
