I moved to Rocky Mount in 1997. First car trouble I had someone i worked with told me " Take it over to Sunset BP", that was 20 (some) years ago. Still the same shop, still the same Steve. Never been elsewhere. Services: Tire rotations, Auto maintenance, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Have had the best service and reasonable prices from Tripp's. The one shop I feel confident in dropping off my vehicle, giving Steve a laundry list of what I want done, turning Justin loose on it, and not have to worry about being over charged plus knowing it was repaired correctly. Services: Wheel alignment, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Steering & suspension repair

We thought Steve was going to help us when our RV broke down while traveling. Three months later, we returned in our rental car and driving it home 700 miles, it burned 6 qts oil. Turns out parts used were defective & not properly installed. Steve won’t honor his warranty on parts and labor despite receipts showing same service needed again. Very disappointed with both owner and mechanic!

My boyfriend and I were on the way to the Outer Banks from Charlotte. We started experiencing car issues and decided to pull of the exit and took a chance with the first automotive shop we found. I’m so glad we stopped where we did! Justin was our service tech and gave us thorough information and was able to get us in and out and back on the road within 1 hour!! Amazing work here. Just wishing they were closer to home so I could make them my car shop!

I stop by to see a friend in the nice lil town of Rocky Mount,NC and i was happy to go by Tripp Automotive, when i was refer there, by my friend and i am from NJ. The guy name i forget,but i think shawn or steve,or craig one of them, and what happen was i got my car looked at, same day as i went early morning,and he fix the issue FAST, A FUEL PUMP,and few other wires, and stuff like that, REASONABLY price too,and i was happy to drive back t NJ safe and happy. Didn't cut off or anything like that, as they knew exactly what was the issue. Prior, i took it to a place,same street called the A-1 Brightside Auto @ 1826 Sunset. DO NOT GO THERE. Horrible. The guy charge me (bashar) almost (in total)$200.00. I will break it down for you. He charge me about 95-100.00 JUST TO LOOK AT IT on the diagnostic machine(or supposedly)just to look at it, 95.00 smh then another almost $80 for labor, and did not even know why the damn car did not start, smh he kept "changing reasons"as to why it would not start."and jackin'up price, in my opinion, as he went along,and IMO that was feeling kinda shady to my familia,so we then found tripp,and i am happy. Got back home safe. Car is still running well for a while now and thank you again guys at TRIPP. Unlike Bashar at A-1 Brightside Auto, u are a REAL mechanic,real business professionals. Only $50.00 to put on a diagnostic machine. It was a breeze drivin' back home to lovely NJ on the I-95 within six and a 1/2 hours to get home,without no issue,thanks to this auto place @ Tripp. A-1 Brightside Auto(Same street you guys)heck, Bashar didn't even know what was wrong with my car! Ridiculous...Thanks again TRIPP.
