DO NOT EAT HERE WITH KIDS!!! Not welcoming and treated my family like we were a hassle. We stopped here for lunch with my family while on Vacation. We were greeted at the door and immediately told to look over the menu. While looking over the menu the hostess told us they could only make Grilled Cheese and PB&J sandwiches for our kids. We told the hostess we are fine and were given a table. It took about 10 minutes for our waitress to arrive at the table. While we waited for her we listened as the waitress went to many of the surrounding tables asking “how are you”, “where are you from”, and offering information on daily specials. When the waitress finally arrived to our table we were greeted with “Do you know what you want”. The food arrived timely and was fine, not great, not bad, just fine. My children (ages: 13, 10 and 6) ordered off the main menu because they are all very well diverse with food. From my experience I would not eat here again, even if I was without my kids. Terrible wait staff, bad experience, treated like second class citizens, just bad. Oh, and I still left a 20% tip.

I was a guest a wedding a few weeks ago and the food and service was incredible! Staff were attentive, friendly, and fun! the food was incredible :) it was a hot day but the servers always made sure our glasses were full.

My wife and I stopped by Reid's for late lunch. As we were entering the restaurant a lady(hostess?) came out and said they closed at 3. I looked at my watch and it was 2:59 which I said to her. Hostess admitted that they had closed early but would not agree to serve us. After a few minutes she came back out. She further stated that if we would have been there four minutes early they would have served us - but not when we were there before closing. Not sure that makes sense in my world.....most well run/quality restaurants would offer to serve you if you showed up 5 minutes late. I am leaving a one star because I believe if you advertise a closing time - you should honor it. Generally a good meal....not sure if I will return.

Just yesterday we had a great lunch at Reid’s Cafe in Linville, NC. Nice decor and gracious staff. Unusual menu items that are prepared very well. I commend the management on the simplicity, quality, staff training, and menu. Highly recommend this venue.

I had an amazing meal here June 1st! The restaurant has a very friendly, inviting atmosphere and our service was impeccable. I had the Crispy Duck Breast and it was cooked perfectly-is it too much to say the duck was so tender it almost melted in my mouth????? No! Not too much! It was that good! And that was after a delicious charcuterie board as a starter. And of course a perfect bottle of wine. Just a great evening meal. And I will definitely come back!

The food and service was wonderful. Went about lunch time. Had lamb goulash & took home some oysters, & skewered lamb. Tasted great! First time I had oysters and would have again. The lamb was delicious & my only complaint was that I wanted more (there were 4 skewers.) Went [I think it was] early May.

We hired Reid's to cater and bartend our May 28, 2022 backyard wedding at a private family home in Newland, NC and they did an amazing job. I worked with Meris and Susan for about 12 months to nail down our personalized menu and bar options. Susan was so patient with me as we made menu changes, bar tweaks, and floor-plan adjustments. The Reid's culinary and service team were absolute pros on the day of our wedding, arriving early for set up, graciously serving guests during the outdoor cocktail hour and dinner reception, and helping break down the reception space after guests left. The buffet dinner and passed hors d'oeuvres were so delicious. We had a couple of guests with food allergies, and Reid's made sure to accommodate their needs. I would absolutely recommend Reid's for any special event catering!

So glad to have found this restaurant!! Have been twice now, once in May for an anniversary dinner and now in December for a girls trip. The food is phenomenal! Everything we ate was delicious, especially the oysters. The drinks are fantastic too. This is a must visit when we are in the area now!

The entire staff were on point!! The chefs really know what they're doing and I have zero complaints!! I highly advise to try the northern oysters!! We will be back for brunch probably Sunday!
