I came in last year to begin shopping and researching the different mowers John Deere had to offer. I met Shane that afternoon and discussed with him the mowers I was interested in. Shane took the time to break down the specs each series had and what was practical for me. We ultimately decided on the X590. Shane went above and beyond throughout my purchase process and was always willing to answer any questions that I had. His knowledge of the different individual mowers in each series was phenomenal and when speaking with him you can see that he knows the ins and outs of each mower John Deere has to offer. Perhaps the part of my process that stuck out the most was that Shane never pushed a sale and also never tried selling me the most expensive mower they had or that I was interested in. I originally wanted the X758 due to the reliability of the diesel John Deere mowers, however, Shane explained the life expectancy and service records of the 300 and 500 series along with their warranty periods. Last week, Shane was able to locate an X590 for me and again went above and beyond to ensure it was ready for service. Even after all of the work he had put in at getting it to Winterville, he never pushed for me to buy it and made sure I was completely satisfied with it before we signed the paperwork. Extremely disappointing service experience! They took my broken lawn tractor in for repair telling me that it would be about 1.5 weeks (but assured me they would expedite if possible when I explained how urgent our situation is). Its now been THREE weeks and we still haven't had it back. I've had to chase them repeatedly over the last 3 weeks (because no one has called me to keep me updated!) ...and, so far, they've never done anything they said they'd do. At this time, I simply DO NOT trust anything I hear back from them (with regards to status, timelines..etc). Also, I was given the distinct impression that our job isn't big enough for them to prioritize over their 'bigger jobs'. Moreover, everything about this experience tell me that this John Deere dealership grossly undervalues customers that spend a 'measly' $3-4k on a lawn tractor ...as opposed to $$$$ on much larger farm equipment. I'm now disappointed that I bought my lawn tractor from Quality Equipment in the first place ... and if I dont get my lawn tractor back in the next 24-48 hours, I will be contacting John Deere directly to provide this feedback of my experience with the brand.

I called Wednesday and was told there were still two in front of me and was promised either the next day or Friday. I called Thursday and was told there were still two in front of me. I asked if they had the parts. I was told yes. I then asked if I could please get a definitive date. I was told he would get my lawn mower in right now and jump the other two in front of me. I called today and on one called me back. I called again, and finally at 3:30, I was told they were working on my mower, but it would be another three hours, so I would not get it back until Monday. So far, not one promise has been lived up to by this organization. No one here practices "under promise and over deliver". It gave me no pleasure to call every day that I was promised service, but these folks had no problem handing out those promises and then not backing them up. It wasn't parts - they were in stock. It was poor scheduling and poor communication. Anyway, we will see what happens Monday.

However I dropped my commercial mower off last Tuesday afternoon to get my blades changed and check the fluid's. Called yesterday (Friday) lunch time. The person I spoke with said he will have it done around 2pm and he would call and let me know. I called again at 3pm and spoke with someone who said he had 2 technians out on a service call and there was only one in the shop. He took my number and said someone would call me back. That did not happen. Today (Saturday) I called again and no one works in service on Saturday. This is all just to change my blades and check my fluid's. If I don't get a call on Monday morning that my commercial mower is done because I need it. So help me God I will not spend another nickel in any of their stores , period !!!!!!!

I purchased a mower from this dealership and I was really impressed with the entire process. I told the salesman what I was looking for and he matched me with exactly what I needed. They helped with financing and my mower was delivered to me in just a couple of days. I did have a small issue where the mower wouldn’t turn on after only using it twice, but I called the after hours number and after speaking with the service writer, he was sure the battery had died. Took the battery in and they tested it and it wouldn’t hold a charge. Because of the warranty on the mower, they replaced the battery free of charge. Overall, very pleased with not only my purchase, but also with the staff. They were all professional, friendly and helpful! Highly recommend!
