I'm all about representing your brand. Today was the third time I went into the new Sephora in West Acres, and for the third time I was so disappointed. Their beauty staff was disappointing. Make up or not, last night party hair, faded black outfits and blue masks weren't the worst of it. I wanted to walk in there and BUY MAKEUP, not wonder how or why they would hire people that didn't walk and talk the look, feel and specialization of what Sephora is. The make up that was worn, didn't complement skin, tones or trends that glow on social media, or should at all be invited in our daily routines. No individuality, no spark and absolutely no desire to represent the brand. While I was asked if I needed anything 20 times, I waited in line for 30 min just to set the things I wanted aside as the girl with the non blended blue eyeshadow knew she lost a customer because of the lack of help of her team mates. Ulta you have me......

They had very few cologne samples available to smell. When asked about getting a sample they gave a short “No, sorry” and went back to their conversation. Only reason they got 2 stars is the young black girl was good to work with and attempted to help only to be shut down by the other worker. I have never had a problem at any of the other locations across the country when encountering the same issue.

The store is renovated, and there’s more stuffs you actually buy. Most employees are nice, but there is one blond lady who is extremely rude with the eye-rolling and treats me like I take advantage of her. This is not the first time it happens, which has been for the last 3 years I’m in town. If you can’t have a basic manner, please do not work at a place like Sephora. The others are wonderful. Always bring a smile on the face and eager to help me find a shade that matches me. Thank you!

I've had two great experiences at this store in the past week. I wanted to try the Sephora brand makeup because it is more affordable than MAC. The first girl was very polite and matched my powder shade perfectly. The second time I went back another girl helped me match foundation. The store wasn't busy either visit, but I had to seek help from someone both times. I am eager to visit again in the hopes someone can help me with a tutorial of how to wear the makeup the best!

Stopped here for the first time recently to look for a few things and was not impressed. Was not greeted right away, and when an employee did walk by I got the most meager “hi” from her and I had to actually stop her while she zoomed by me for help. She barely helped me, too lazy to actually LOOK in the bottom drawer for the highlighter I needed, I had to point it out. Was about ready to put my stuff back and leave until another employee named Raven helped me. She completely turned my experience around and helped me above an beyond! She was so sweet and I made sure to let her know how helpful she was vs the other employee! I didn’t get that girls name, wish I did, but she had platinum blonde hair and big lips(vague I know.) The store itself is nice, a bit small so there seemed to be not much room for much products! Otherwise it was a nice store, but not enough to make me wanna go back.

Fargo in Sephora is awful. I worked at the one in Bismarck and prior to and after working there had met maybe one bad employee that I could compare to Fargo. They do not greet you (as they are supposed to) They do not offer their mini makeovers (again, supposed to) They do not offer samples, and give such a disgruntled look about it. Don't write the product name or instructions on the bag (which, if a customer has not used the product, why wouldn't you?) Their manager, Jenny, I believe her name is is the only outstanding employee. Extremely friendly, looks up your card, samples, etc. However if your only good employee is a manager who has a lot of other tasks to do they cannot give outstanding customer service. I have been in this store only when I need something desperate enough to where I do not want to wait for the Rogue flash shipping or when I need to see a color in person. Honestly would rather have to return the product at cost for being used then test it in store. I was in the store forty minutes before I finally approached the register (two girls were chatting up there occasionally ringing up a solo customer and I only approached when the other employee got pulled away) and I asked the lady if the brow shades I had in two different brands were comparable. She said yes, I turned and noticed that my hand was covering the shade on one. I turned back and asked her to help me find a gel in this brow color "that is a pomade" We stared for a while because yes I had a brow wiz and pomade but I needed a gel too. Eventually I just bought the bare essentials and will complete my order online. Long review but this is just ridiculous. Their good employees they just can't seem to keep...

Never gets any new products and never has more than a couple shades of older products in stock. It's like corporate forgot this Sephora in JCPenney exists. Plus I can't even count the number of times when I've seen people putting testers straight on their face right in front of employees! At every Sephora or Ulta I've been to and witnessed that, the sales associates tell the person to stop and wipe the sample with alcohol. Some of the employees are nice here, but the ones that have been around forever are really rude and don't even pretend to care. Shop online or go to Ulta.

I go here a lot even though as rouge I can shop online and get free two day shipping with tons of samples and minis online but I still love going here. The girls are super nice and helpful. I don't get the hate comments. The girls are nice here. The girls at ulta are nice. I mean sometimes you have to be patient but they are nice people and very helpful.

i went in after getting an email telling me i could pick up my "birthday gift" and i asked if they could help me with one of the correct and conceal sessions they offer to try and help me find some makeup for prom that was long-wearing and also light weight... i don't know if they thought i was trying to take advantage of them or if they really just didn't want my business but the lady who does the sessions there (who still works there) took about 5 minutes total and the entire time she was very distracted and seemed like she wanted to be done with me.. i wanted a color match and she told me the machine was broken but while i was walking around i saw her using it on a girl right after me (not even 2 full minutes) she then went on to "eyeball match" me and ended up giving me foundation way too light for me and concealer way too dark. she even told me "this one will be too light for you but its your only option". i was just very disappointed in my experience from start to finish and feel very turned off from having to return there. (they also never ask for your information to receive your beauty insider points)

One thing that I've noticed pretty consistently is that if I go in with a full face of make up on they're much more willing to offer their help. If I go in bare-faced they pretty much ignore me, I can only speculate it's because they think I won't buy anything because I'm not wearing make up when I go in? Definitely not the most welcoming place. It can be intimidating if you don't exactly know what you're looking for. If it's your first time buying high end makeup I'd recommend Ulta over this. They're much more helpful and friendly at Ulta. It's a shame Fargo doesn't have a regular standalone Sephora store, I'd much prefer that, if only for the Sephora exclusive products. Sephora inside JCPENNEY takes forever to get new products in.
