Never using this place again, called the night before we had a cross country move in the works to tell us our trailer was unavailable and that we could travel 3 hours away to pick up another one. Crazy how this place is still open.

Me simply telling them it's unacceptable to hear 12 hours in advance that cancelling our uhaul or making us travel to a flooded area to pick up a uhaul is unacceptable! Yeah I was a little rude, but still, it's understandable that we worked hard, requesting off work, buying a train ticket to get my husband up here to help with the move, and tons of steps we put in on our end to get done what we need done to be told this! Agent, which was a direct Grand Forks representative wouldn't let me talk, and me screaming let me talk for crying out loud, she banned my husband and I from UHaul, cancelled reservation THAT WE NEED, and I was trying very hard to work with them when she said I wasn't, I asked if we picked up from them and returned to them if they could work with that, she wouldn't answer, was going to ask if Bemidji or Crookston had anything, couldn't get to asking that CUZ SHE WOULDN'T EVEN LET ME GET A WORD IN WITHIN LIKE 4 MINTUTES! Then she wouldn't answer if they are still charging my card or not, I had to call and practically harass them to get that answer, and they only finally answered it because I threatened to call the cops to get my answer! After this, we will no longer be doing business with this crooked company! It's unacceptable to give 12 hour advance notice about something this crucial! Moves are planned! At minimum, a week advance notice should be given! A couple of days at minimum, NOT 12 HOURS BEFORE WE'RE SUPPOSED TO PICK UP OUR UHAUL AND ONLY GIVE US AN OPTION THAT'S NOT EVEN DOABLE! If you need a UHaul from Grand Forks, I suggest going through EGF directly, or Crookston, or Ada, not the 1-800 number, and definitely avoid the Grand Forks branch. It's absolutely disgusting that even after I apologized for my part, you can't even answer if my card has been charged, I was hung up on several times when I simply said I'm not calling to argue, I need to know if you're charging my card. And it's unacceptable to ban somebody cuz you won't let them talk and they finally lose it after asking a couple times will you let me talk and I finally yell let me talk! This lady was obviously repeating the same stuff, that I don't need to keep hearing when I'm trying to throw out ideas to resolve this! This lady does not deserve to be a manager as she has 0 customer service skills. A person should not have to threaten to call the cops to get a simple financial answer! If I'm charged, UHaul, you will be sued at this point.

U-Haul has always been my go to place to fill a propane tank. I had never rented any equipment from them until today (December, 12 2020). I called ahead at the beginning of the week and reserved a 15 foot truck to move is out of our two bedroom place. Best moving decision ever! I usually bother all of my friends and family that own trucks or make 70 trips in my car. We only moved across town so and one trip (8miles) was enough so with gas it wasn't even $50!

I scheduled a truck in person at the Grand Forks location. The initial interaction was fine I left with my reservation and boxes to get started. Fast forward more than a week I get a call from the Fargo office stating my truck will not be available in Grand Forks but in Grafton. This was not the impression I was given when making my reservation. In terms of the customer experience over the phone it’s similar to everyone else’s horrible reviews. If you look into a rental leave time in your schedule to drive to another city to pick up your truck. For the staff at Grand Forks please start letting people know that the pickup for the truck will not likely be at the desired location. Let me start by saying I don’t blame the folks within the grand forks location, and my phone call with Chad from grand forks was great. The Fargo U-Haul staff are miserable, however, and from my understanding the do at least all of the reservations in the area. I reserved a 15-ft truck 2 weeks prior to my move, and two days before the pick up received a call I’d need to pick up the truck in Devil’s Lake. For a move in the opposite direction, this is proving to be very inconvenient. Again, I can’t reiterate how “I don’t care, it’s your problem now” the Fargo staff was. Kylie, from the Fargo office, couldn’t have cared less and clearly was annoyed that I was annoyed. U-Haul has given me a larger truck (more gas money for me now) and extended my drop off (which is not necessary and I will not be using). When I asked about a discount or lower rate, due to my increased prices in gas and travel, I was told it’s not possible and that what’s done is done. I highly recommend avoiding when possible, but also good luck - if there was a different service for truck rental with comparable prices I’d be using it today. Really bummed I have to give U-Haul my business.

The staff doesn't answer the phone and used profane language in front of customers. The vehicle had not been thoroughly checked before we rented it and a loaded pistol had been left inside the cab. Had the staff answered the phone, we would have been able to handle the situation sooner- instead we had to add miles to the vehicle to have the gun removed.

Used a haul n actually moved in November 2020. Used a uhaul again in February 2021 n smashed front of the house up then returned it n was charged same as when I really moved...milage n gas certainly don't match up yet ur charges align. If I weren't so impressed with my thoughtful statement I made, I would definitely be inquiring further.

ZERO STARS SERVICE . On Monday July 27 2020 I went online and secured a trailer. I prechecked it too save time. I arrived at the store at 12:05 pm . Only one worker inside. I wait while a customer is being helped. While waiting no one says anything to me. 40 mins later I go get in my vehicle. As I drive around I see worker and start to ask him what’s the deal ect and he acts very rude and bothered by me a paying customer. I had to leave and rent from acme rents across the street. They were able to assist me within 5 mins. Bottom line is I will never use UHAUL AGAIN EVER, and I suggest you don’t either. Thanks for waisting my time UHAUL .

I rented a truck about 2 years ago and was a quick and easy process. I’m moving again and they were super polite, to the point and helped me with everything I needed. 100% Recommend!
