I had a good experience with this shop. I thought that I would have to have my alternator replaced. Instead, they found a bad battery cable with a bad ground connection causing the new battery I had replaced 4 months ago to fail. I'm glad that they were able to figure out/help my situation, where I was able to save money and not have to have an alternator or starter replaced. Services: Battery, Electrical repair, Electrical

Mike and his team at Tuffy Gahanna are the absolute best! I had several lights come on and systems were inoperative and had been running around trying to get my car looked at and diagnosed. I called on Saturday to confirm my appointment and he let me know that his online system has been having problems but I was still okay to drop my car off on Monday at 10am. He allowed me to wait inside and within 2 hours he was able to tell me what was wrong with my vehicle. Mike and his team were absolutely great and I cannot wait to take my car back to them in the future! He mentioned they are usually busy so always best to give them a call and be sure they’d be able to fit you in!

I made an appointment on Monday for an appointment on Friday at 8:00 am. Friday I leave my car. They never called me to keep me informed on the progress. I called them at 3:00pm and was told they would call me back with the results. No call. 15 mins before closing, I go there and find out my car never went into the service bay. All they did was take 2 test drives. You can imagine I'm furious. When questioned about it, I was told they were trying to " catch up" with the previous day's work. If they wasn't going to work on my car, they should've called me and I could've came to get my car. It was a wasted day. I gave it a 2 because they claim that they would check on my car on Monday( today is Saturday)FIRST. I could at least find out what's wrong. I'll get it fixed IF they can finish it before I go to my 12:00 class. If not, I'll take my car and go elsewhere. Customer service failed me 100%. My sister, who's has had a better experience before, helped them get a second chance. I'll update you after Monday.

What makes a company great? TRUST! If you want to deal with an honest car maintenance manager & competent employees “Gahanna Tuffy” is the place! Mike G, the Manager, is THE BEST! I was wanting an alignment, went to one place not far away who wanted almost double the cost from what Tuffy’s price was. I declined; not due to cost necessarily, more-so the arrogance I encountered, as if I were in a factory line. Fortunately I left & passed by Tuffy, spoke with Mike G, scheduled an appointment at my convenience, got it done, drove off feeling the difference in the drive right away! Cost is not the only trait I base this review on (although a necessary one these days.) Mike G is pretty exceptional! He makes one feel like family, yet aside from his genuine pleasantness vs. feeling like a number, the price & excellent service provided … you know he’s the rare trustworthy kind of guy! If you need a repair, they do it… if you don’t, they wont! Sales… is easy/Service… not so much! A good organization is based on the effectiveness of the people that work for them. So I can only speak from my experience at “Gahanna Tuffy” giving credit where credit is due! Thanks Mike for the service you provide!

I made an appointment through their Carmax RepairPal program. The appointment was for 7. I got an email verification. I show up at 7, see a sign they're not open until 730. I go to breakfast and come back. They don't have any record of my appointment. Bye.

Our 2010 Buick was running hot. I called Tuffy from an online suggestion. When I called I spoke with the store manager, Mike. After making my appointment, he was sure to tell me to not drive the car far, so it doesn't cause damage. After the vehicle was fixed, he called and told me that they had driven it several times and it was running well. When I picked up the vehicle, he suggested we take it back in a few days to make sure there were no air pockets (they replaced the thermostat housing) in the lines and said to come back in 200 miles to have the tires torqued. That's what I call fantastic service. We have only been in the Columbus area for a year, so it was so great to find a place to take our cars.
