No bar has ever taken me back to my childhood except for this place. The selection of games, board and otherwise, are wonderful. Going on a first date? Go here. Play some games, have some drinks, nibble on some of their food and find out if there's any potential. You learn a lot about someone when you play a game with them.

Visiting from out of town. The food was amazing! The space was REALLY small for a busy weekend - still we found a spot at the bar and hunkered down for some food, drinks, and games. Fun spot!

This place was awful. If you plan on going here, eat dinner before you go. This is first and foremost a board game bar, which is great. They have a huge selection of games, so if you want to try out some new games, this is a good spot to do it! Don't eat here though. The food was ok, but it's like going to Taco Bell. Sure, you'll enjoy it at first but you'll regret it later. I tried this cute drink but it tasted like college regret, so just stick with your classic beverage and you'll be fine. Service was non-existent, and they weren't friendly.

We love The Rook OTR. It has every board game you can imagine and then some. The drinks and food all have a fun nostalgia about them, but our favorite is the cocktail Capri Against Humanity, which utilizes a friggin Capri Sun. Lee is great and made us feel welcomed!

Pretty cramped space, expensive drinks, slow service. The drinks were excellent expensive and were slow to get to us. The atmosphere was great. We love board games and it was really fun to be out and about and be able to play games. I wish the service was faster and the drinks were about 20% less.

My family and I recently wandered into The Rook OTR and were blown away! For starters, this is a board game parlor with over 800 games, a great bar food menu, and a full bar along with 12 beers on tap. My elementary school aged kids loved the variety of games available and we played through a dozen of them over the course of a couple of hours. While there isn't a kids menu there are plenty of appetizers that should suffice, pizza rolls, tater tots, mini corn-dogs, pretzel bites, chicken tenders, etc. We all shared the pretzel bites & Fat Tire beer cheese ($8). The pretzel bites were fried golden and the beer cheese was very tasty. For my lunch I went with the world domination cubano with cherry braised carnitas, grilled pork loin, house mustard, pickles, and provolone ($10). This was not your standard Cuban sandwich, but I mean that in a good way. The carnitas and pork loin were cooked perfectly and piled high on a grilled roll. All sandwiches are served with house chips in either ranch or BBQ flavoring. The kids split the traditional mini corn-dogs that are dipped to order in house honey Polenta batter ($7). My picky son was not happy that these didn't look like the frozen mini corn-dogs he is used to being served in other restaurants. But I'm told the tasted much better than their frozen counterparts. My wife enjoyed the farmageddon black bean burger with curried brie, mixed greens, and sauteed veggies ($10). This was served on what appeared to be an everything bun, which was an awesome surprise. She was happy with her choice, but I didn't get a bite to let you know my own thoughts. Our lunch visit to The Rook OTR was awesome! We tried to go back more recently for dinner but found that all tables were occupied, and it didn't look like one would open up soon. We will likely save this for weekend lunches, but it is good for a couple of hours especially in cold winter weather.

Great atmosphere. Downstairs had a huge selection of various board games to choose from to play with groups, or 2 players of you wanted to game as a date night. Beer selection was wonderful as well as their mixed drinks list. Will definitely be going back again in the near future!

Truly one of our favorite spots to go out. Russell is like a sommelier of board games. He asks a few questions about what you like to play and always comes up with a perfect suggestion...and he'll even play with you if he's not too busy!
