Product was damaged. Fortunately it is usable but talking to someone about replacing it is very difficult.

The service person was very nice and arrive on time. He did his assessment and informed us the product could not be repaired. He said he would be in the paperwork and we would hear back from customer service. We did but not satisfied with them. They gave us 3 options for replacement and we picked the option they suggested. We then an email stating the product they suggested is no longer available and that we would be sent a check. they should not suggest something if it is no longer available. We now have to go out and find a replacement ourselves but have to pick from certain brands in order for our warrant to stay valid. Not acceptable on my part.

3 Stars - let me explain... the service man gets 5 stars, but Sears management gets 1 star. The repairman did a good job, but working with Sears was not good for these reasons: (1) First available appointment was in 2 weeks (even though my 5-year-old Kenmore Elite completely quit working); (2) on the expected day of repair, Sears canceled - because they overbooked the repairman (which is their common practice); (3) I had to get in the back of the line and start over, so I was rescheduled for 8 days later (which was finally successful). Important lesson: NEVER accept an afternoon appointment - since the repairmen are almost always overbooked and may not make it to your house! Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

The tech I had this year (2019) was VERY DETAILED In checking out my freezer He made me feel he was making sure that the freezer was functioning at it's very best. The young man was very nice. He looked over all the appliances -garbage disposal, refrigerator, stove, microwave, washer & dryer. He called me 15 minutes before he was to arrive. The 2nd tech took care of the furnace,hot water heater, & air conditioner. Was very nice & called also 15 minutes before coming. Both did a very good job.
