The Rail - Strongsville in Strongsville (17885 Southpark Center, OH 44136)
About:
Drawing inspiration from the success of his steakhouse’s bar menu, award-winning chef Mike Mariola founded The Rail in 2011 as a full-service burger restaurant and bar suitable for any occasion. The Rail’s burgers are honest and local; 100% of the beef used in our restaurants comes from local farms. The well-rounded menu also features local chicken, local dairy products used in our milkshakes, draft beers born and brewed in Ohio and craft cocktails with spirits from local distilleries. We take our beer and cocktail selection as seriously as we take our burgers. We highlight a locally curated cocktail and beer list with spirits from Ohio-based distilleries and beers from Ohio-based breweries, rounding out the complete Rail experience.

We went to this place while in Cleveland while there for a hockey tournament. The service was great, the atmosphere was so nice. It’s a good place to watch a football or baseball game for sure. The food was a mixed review. My children loved their burgers. My son built his own and put an egg on his burger for the first time and loved it. Myself and my husband were not happy. We order the burger that has beef and sausage in it. It was so dry I could barely eat it. There was only a thin slice and a half of bacon on it and no lettuce. I was not happy at all. The waitress was great though and I would go back and just not order that burger.

Really nice atmosphere, nice inside/outdoor area. Great beer selection. The fried pickels were really good and the burger was fresh with a nice grill flavor. The Brussels were decent but could have more flavor, maybe honey and blue cheese, (see my review from Freight Kitchen and Tap in Woodstock, Georgia)The side of pepper jack sauce is a must, the shoestring fries disappointed because they were just a crunch with no potatoe flavor.

I ordered take out the rail avore burger and it had the onion peel/skin on it not onions my mushrooms were burnt the burger was plain and dry and the steak fries I received were cold and dry it was horrible. I never had this experience before here I’m very disappointed. I went hungry because I couldn’t eat that mess.

We were really looking forward to a great quality burger at the Rail. We pass it everyday and we're curious....unfortunately, it was disappointing. All of our fries were cold. The steak and burgers were not seasoned and tasted bland. The beers were decent but the food was not at all what we expected. Not sure we would ever return. The service was good not great.

This was a great place for lunch! A must have are the tater tots! They were the best of my life!!! Also everything you can tell is homemade and very fresh.

First time here for Sunday Brunch. Server was great, very nice and attentive. Got Steak & Eggs, steak was cooked just right the way I like it. Biscuits were very buttery in taste, honestly didn't need the extra butter on the side for them. My wife had a burger with a Waffle substituted for the bread, she loved it. My cousin had 2 Bloody Mary's, one was the Classic and the other was their Habanero Bloody Mary. Had a small kick to it, but wasn't too hot. Been to The Rail a few times in the past, always great food and a great time had!

Place is legit! I ordered the fried pickles for appetizer. The menu says they are the best around and they aren’t lying! Then ordered the Mojo burger and it was amazing. Sat at the bar, bartender was very attentive and I was there on a Friday night. Highly recommend. Bathrooms were clean as well.

I've always loved this restaurant and have been to the Akron location many times. This was my first time at this Strongsville location and we had great service and food. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great burgers in the area!

Stopped in on our way to Maryland from Wisconsin. The reviews brought us here and made us believers. The tap selections are fantastic. We split the Blue Bessie burger. The combination of blue cheese, fried onions, horseradish, and spinach was delicious! The brioche bun was light and fluffy. We upgraded to the onion rings with red pepper sauce. Definitely worth upgrading. Service was fast and friendly. If we lived closer this would be a place we frequent.
