This place is the worst. We’ve tried to come twice. One afternoon I called around 3:15 and asked if they thought the patio would be busy around 4 and they said definitely not, it would not be a problem to get a table. We showed up and they had decided to close the patio and wouldn’t sit us. A few months later we tried again. Called around 5:45, they said there would be a table of 6 for us. When we showed up 10 minutes later they said there was no table available but there was a table of 6 that would probably leave soon. We checked the patio and the table of 6 was not going to be leaving anytime soon. They all had margaritas and were having a great time. We’re not giving it another chance. Such a waste of time both times.

Cocina de Carlos is your standard Mexican restaurant. The lunch menu is competitively priced and many options. The food was fresh and the drinks were always topped off. The individual salsa dishes were a nice touch because I like to make mine hotter. Not five stars, because my fajitas were charred to the skillet. I understand the presentation is meant to be sizzling hot, but it might have been over done, because the smell of burning was present throughout the meal.

The food here is always good. The server was excellent. Probably one of the best servers I've had in awhile. They have a vegan selection that is very good. They also have a wide variety of Mexican dishes. If you like pineapple they have an amazing pineapple dish. We sat upstairs for the first time. It had a really neat ambiance to it.

Our last visit inspired us to not return to any of their locations. Not much flavor, soft shells, greasy meat, not so clean were a few of the issues we had! The staff was friendly and the food was fast.

Pretty darn good! Great atmosphere, our waitress was AWESOME! I wish I remembered her name to mention it here. Margaritas could have been a little bit stronger, but they tasted good, only reason they're getting 5 instead of 6 stars. Cool building. I'd go back and recommend this to anyone.

This place is awesome! Unfortunately every time we go out to eat lately we have loud people seated around us. This is not a reflection on the service though. My drink was never empty and my plate filled me easily. We will go back, but may request outdoor seating next time.

Not too busy early afternoon. Quaint bar setting. Very good service and food with reasonable prices. Music not too loud, but the acoustics bounce the sound off the walls so the potential for noise pollution is present. The fried ice cream could be served differently, such as in a bowl instead of on a plate. Other than a few minor personal dislikes Cocina De Carlos will get another visit from us.

I have been here twice now and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. About as authentic as you get for NW Ohio, the fajitas and Chiles rellenos we're excellent. Service was great. Definitely will be going back for a third and fourth visit!

Chips and salsa good. Cheese dip excellent. Taquitos shredded beef pretty good. House margarita was NOT good. I didn't care for the rice either. But was told by a refried bean eater that the refried beans were excellent. He also really enjoyed the combo fajita meal. (Chic & beef). Great decor! Staff friendly. Good service.
