Great food and friendly service right off the mother road of historic Route 66! If you love a lil spice, give their spicy mac a try, it was awesome. Definitely recommend to anyone driving through, vacationing, or those who live in the area!

This little place is like in the middle of nowhere to me and it was after a track meet in Luther, OK. The wings were so flavorful and crispy and the sides, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans tasted like my moms! Customer service was so great taking care of our large group with a smile and gave me a free refill on my takeout order!! If you're ever near Luther, don't pass it by!

Looking for a southern fried chicken experience off the road to Tulsa. Overlay restaurants on Google map and saw the great reviews of the Chicken Shack. So we took a detour to old rt 66. What a find. Ordered the whole fried chicken with okra and fries through an order window. The place looked like a shack attached to a working gas station. The food was brought outside in an aluminium turkey pan filled with food. The chicken was perfectly fried, juicy and tasty, so was the okra. It was near sunset and warm so we ate outside on an old cable spool table. Neighbors came by telling us we could eat inside. After eating outside we went inside to the bathroom. The inside was huge, an old barn with dirt floors and a performance stage. If you are near Luther take the time to visit this place.

Lovely locally owned restaurant. Chicken shack is all about fried chicken and ambience. I took my cousin that was visiting from out of town and he was able to see and taste a very Oklahoma restaurant. The menu is easy. We ordered a whole fried chicken with wedges. It was crunchy and perfectly juicy. The ambience was my favorite, it is a country style place with elements of rock and roll and biker vibes. They have live music and a bar and an outdoor area with a truck for service during the warm months. Can't wait to go back!

Almost didn't know where the restaurant was when Google said we'd arrived. Looks like a literal shack attached to a gas station. You order outside then go inside to a huge eating area with a bar and stage. The wings are fantastic (try the spicy garlic!) and the okra was some of the best I've had. Jalapeno macaroni was delicious! The actual chicken though was a little disappointing. It was dry and bland. Would definitely go again for wings and sides!!

T&M Reviews has a review on this place on youtube. This is a must stop. You would drive right past this place if you didn't know it was there, because it's literally is in a Conoco Parking lot, and their is limited parking, but no worries you'll just line the road. The order window is on the right side kinda like how you'd order a movie ticket. Once you order you'll get a number, and go into the door to the right where there is covered seating that opens up to a good size outside seating area with 2 fire pits, a stage for live music, and many tables. You'll set your number in the table, and they'll come find you with your food. There are 2 colors white is eating there, and the black is a to go order. They also have a pretty good selection of alcohol at their bar. There is even have a small souvenir store where a bought a cool short sleeve Hoodie. If you hear someone speaking of Luther University where people are talking about eating chicken, and drinking beer this is the place they are speaking about it. Go check it out.

Fantastic pork chops and chicken gravy mashed potatoes. It looks like a hole in the wall with gravel floors but don't let that discourage you. It's great!!! We always stop here when we travel from OKC to Tulsa.

So MANY cars where are all the people!?... This place is massive! No line and the front counter staff was patient as we decided. You can also place order at the bar in the back. I could see this being a busy time on a Friday night but not at 5pm....... Got seated. A little dust on the chairs and table were no problem for us. Paper towels on the table helped. (Gravel floor) The kitchen staff and bar help took great care of us. All the food came out tasty and hot! Our order had chicken tenders, fries, jalapeno Mac and cheese, jalapeno corn bread, fried half chicken, okra, mashed potatoes. The chicken gravy is so decadent!!!!!!!!!!! 10 wings just for me (teriyaki) We had leftovers and I am Pleased with the portion and the jam packed flavors of all the food. The food came out relatively quick considering the pending busy night. Bar staff got me taken care of as I ordered a beer once I took the short tour of the restaurant. Thank you for being awesome bar tender - she made the visit more enjoyable...cold beer she poured -oh so yummy. If in the area in the future we will definitely visit again. They should all be commended!!! Respectfully, Bryan Yukon, Oklahoma

Seen Route 66 in Arizona,Texas, Missouri, New Mexico and now Oklahoma. This doesn't look like much from out front but it's truly a hidden gem. Was told by locals that this place was a must see and was not disappointed. Everyone was nice and welcoming, music was nice, food was good, would definitely suggest stopping in. A family friendly place as well.

Food is good. The "dining area" is outdoors with a covered area that's basically a pole barn with rows and rows of picnic tables. There is room for a large crowd. That being said, I would try to come back when it's not 100° out. Looks like it would be really cool in the evenings with lots of TV's and a stage for live music.
