I was on my birthday vacation, back in September 2021, and just happened to stumble across this restaurant. AMAZING lamb Shepard's pie and red velvet cake!! Cute and homelike atmosphere! The owner came out and was visiting each table which I found to be so sweet. Someone ended up buying my birthday lunch which made me cry with happiness, because that's never happened before. When I told the waitress this, she said, well you must not be from a small town. NOPE! I will definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again, and I have told all my friends about this place!!

What a gem of a place! Incredible food hand prepared by a Chef who cares about. Rodney even came out to ask about it. The prices are better than fast food and the wait staff are just fantastic. Friendly, delicious and fast. They give you samples of their soup before you can even think to ask. A must visit!

The Taste by Chef Ron was AMAZING! The food has great flavor, the service was some of the best I have ever had and Chef Rodney came out and talked with us, thanking us for coming in. You just don’t get this type of service anymore. You cannot go wrong visiting this place. Great choice!

Totally unexpected restaurant in this two-horse town. Unique menu, left side stays consistent while the right side changes weekly. Very good service at reasonable prices, and chef Rodney makes the rounds visiting and ensuring your meal is as expected. Highly recommend at least sharing a Banana Forster pudding, alcohol free but primo flavor. Get off I-35 and check this place out downtown. A quick drive north from Winstar casino/campground where we were staying. Also a pretty close drive from Lake Murray down OK-77s to OK-32 if you are camping there. The interior furnishings came from your great-grandma's house.

You're going to love the food, atmosphere, and folks running it! Located on main street in Marietta, The Taste is a family run business. We were welcomed at the door and had a pleasant lunch with great service. The quality, and taste, of the food was far beyond my expectations. The atmosphere is decorated with antiques and feels a little like going to Grandma's for dinner. Very nice and relaxing. Go once and you'll go again. We did!

A truly unique and excellent restaurant. The food is exceptional. The staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is nice and inviting. This has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat. Highly recommend. Pictured is the Chipotle Pulled Pork sandwich with homemade chips, dessert, and pics of the inside of the restaurant.

What a treasure!! Wonderful atmosphere and service. Can't say enough about the food. Mouthwatering. The chicken crossiant and hommade chips were the best. And I've had a lot of chicken salad. Wanted to lick the plate. Hubby had the Brisket Burger, couldn't stop saying yum. Chef Rodney and his crew are delightful. So worth the trip.

I don’t know if there’s treasure on Oak Island, but there is certainly hidden treasure in Marietta, OK. It’s “The Taste,” a masterpiece by Chef Rodney. We had pulled pork tacos, the best pulled pork we’ve ever had — and we’re from Houston. Black bean soup and beef stew were equally perfect. The restaurant is clean and comfortable; restrooms immaculate. And chef Rodney is just a good guy. If you’re ever driving between Dallas and OK, DON’T MISS IT.
