Horrible company to do business with. 3X this year I made a reservation and arrive at the location and they do not have ANY cars. Do not do business with Hertz.

Really like the car but the fuel purchase option was not explained to me properly. I returned the car with a full tank a gas and they refused to credit the $50. This policy is not customer friendly and should be explained in more detail. Paid for gas twice. I will never rent from Hertz again and won’t recommend them.

Had an appointment to pick a car up after an accident and I get there just to find out they will not take my banks debit card. They do not take chime. Guess who I gave my money to? Enterprise. BTW their deposit is cheaper as well. I will 💯 be using Enterprise from here on out.

If I could give a zero Stars I would. Had a car accident and went through insurance to get a rental car. Chose the Hertz location that was near the body shop that I was using a memorial in Tulsa. First I called them this morning to get a rental they had zero cars on the lot at which point I said I understand and they said they would call me to let me know when my rental was ready. 4 hours later I heard nothing so I called them to check on the status of my rental was told I would receive a call back. Called an hour later and was told okay we have an SUV for you as I own a full size car but they had no full size cars available for rental. So I show up which I had to Uber and pay for a ride to come up here, at which point they told me that they're going to charge me more for my rental because they're giving me an SUV because they do not have any full size sedans. I said no I'm sorry that's not how that works this is a rental through insurance this is not my choice I'm not opting for an SUV you said you don't have any full size vehicles available. I was then rudely cut off and told that this conversation was ending at which point I told them you're right. Cancel my reservation I'll take my business elsewhere and make sure that I let the companies that your partnered with know how you treat their customers when they are sent to you. I've rented from Hertz before and not had issues. But apparently they want to play games and use insurance as a way to charge insurance companies customers more money then is actually needed.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION, EVER! if I could give them 0 stars, I would. Everything one can imagine going wrong with a rental experience happened here and MORE. No car available until hours after my guaranteed advance reservation, had to come back the next day, first car they offered me was filthy with dirt and trash I took out before attempting to drive it. It also had less than a half tank of fuel AND a maintenance due warning on the dash . I asked for another car. The second car was “cleaner” - still sticky and crumby all over, did have a full tank of gas, but smelled of cigarette smoke (I made sure to request they note that I was not responsible for that), then when I pulled out of the driveway the rear end made a horrible rattling, banging sound. I thought maybe the hatch was open, but stopping and reclosing it made no difference. I just drove the car back and asked them to cancel my rental. I WOULD LITERALLY RATHER HAVE NO CAR AT ALL than the poorly maintained, filthy garbage they are attempting to pass off to customers. Seriously, choose somewhere else or walk. Both are better options.

I rented a cargo van from this location about one year ago, therefore, see my 5-Star rating for the Hertz Peoria location to know the story that pertained to the Memorial location. Yesterday, I visited the Memorial location and asked the gentlemen at the Counter if my Cargo Van would be ready for Saturday (tomorrow), and he checked his rentals and said that there would be no problem. At 4:20 pm today, I received a call from Angela, District Manager at the Memorial location, that she did not have a Van to rent to me tomorrow because the two that came back had to go into the shop for maintenance, and she did not offer me any other alternative, but to pay more money for another Rental, and she told me Cargo Vans rent for $66/day, and my Cargo Van Rental Reservation was for $35.20/day off the internet. I told her that she was lying just as she had lied to me last year, and I immediately went to the Peoria location and spoke with Sandy, who showed me the Hertz Truck that was going to be delivered tomorrow to the Memorial location, but would have gone to someone else if I would not have showed based on Angela's phone call, and it was actually nicer than the Cargo Van I had rented last year. I told Sandy that Angela told me that she didn't have a Cargo Van to rent me, and Sandy didn't know what to say, however, she rented me the Hertz Truck at her location right then and there. I can't believe that Hertz keeps District Manager's like Angela who deceive the Customer as she has done with me, now twice. It appears that Angela does not want to honor the special rates Hertz provides on the Internet, and goes out of her way to try to make the customer pay a higher price by making excuses that are outright lies in order to either cause the customer not to show, or to pay a higher price. Her business tactics appear to be bait and switch which is against the Law. Rent from the Peoria location and not the Memorial location.

Sandy was the best!! She was friendly and welcoming. She was quick and professional all while being the only person working this morning. Hertz is located conveniently on a busy street. It’s also near a gas station so you can fill up your vehicle. She made it clear upfront, using a credit card there is a $200 hold on top of charges and using a debit card there is a hold $500 plus charges for rental.

Hate to do this because the front desk staff was doing the best they can. Corporate, it’s time for you to start caring about this location. People were on hold for over 30 minutes on the phone while I was standing in line, 2 people in line were just returning cars, and the parking lot is incredibly too small. You’re asking for a lawsuit. All of this could be solved with a simple key return box, some staff training, and a little bit more room for your own cars.

Unfortunately, I had a really poor experience with this Hertz location. I reserved a mini van 4 months in advance. We were a group of 7 persons and all of us had luggage. We needed to drive from Tulsa to Florida (13 plus hours). First issue, according to the reservation details I needed to pick up the mini van at the Peoria location. I showed up on time to find out that the location was closed. A piece of paper on the door indicated that I need to go to the Memorial location (so I had to drive another 10 minutes back from the direction I came from). Before leaving the Peoria location I called to confirm that I truly needed to visit the Memorial location and on that call I found out that they didn't have the mini van I reserved 4 months in advance and really needed due to the amount of luggage we had with us. The only thing they could do for us was to give us a SUV that fit all 7 persons, but the luggage area only fit one suit case. I had no other options since all other rental places were about to close and didn't have a mini van available. I head to Memorial and they gave me an SUV significantly dirty inside (stains everywhere) and with a super strong cigarette smell. They had already ruined my plans and to add I ended up having to take the rental car home to clean it up with Clorox wipes and spray to try to eliminate the cigarette odor. At the Memorial location I was told that I could try to exchange the SUV for a mini van when I get to Florida. I tried as soon as I arrived and was told that they didn't have any mini vans available for the following days and told me to try to come back after a few days. I went for a second time after a few days and the representative told me that the Hertz representatives in Tulsa gave me wrong information (the Hertz representative at Florida literally told me that the ones in Tulsa were liars and lied to me) and the only way they would be able to exchange they SUV for a mini van was due to car malfunction or accident. I ended up having to drive back from Florida to Tulsa with the same SUV that we originally didn't reserve. To finish my story, I returned the car during after hours with more gasoline that what it had when I picked up and dropped the key in a drop box. The next morning I received the rental receipt via email and they were charging me $48 for gasoline. I called them and they said that the rental car was given to me with a full tank (that was incorrect). I told them that I had photos of the gas level before pick up and after return, and requested them to remove the charge. The rental receipt even had the wrong mileage of the car (it said that I drove more than 6K miles and I actually only drove 2K miles. This was a really poor experience from beginning to end.

Was a 2 now its a 1 star. Terrible customer service. Had a flat on highway. Changed it myself. Returned the car because I cannot drive it on a donut spare tire on major highways because I commute. They tried to charge me for the defective tire! Ridiculous, they didn't even look at the tire! I of course did NOT pay! Will never ever ever be back! Would never recommend. Call Enterprise! Seem in blown out! Really I caused that! Insane. Also the email on the answer to my previous post did not work!?!?
