I have been in this store many times and absolutely loved it, however, after today I don't know if I will be back. I had a certain item I knew I needed and headed straight for that when I walked in. I was greeted by a girl and continued to head back. I grabbed the item I was looking for and started browsing around. The girl asked if I had any questions and if I was looking for something and I polietly said no, I'm fine, thank you. I continued to look around and felt I was being followed. I noticed the girl working was walking around too and she asked if I had been in yesterday. I said no it's been a few weeks since I have been in here. She said I looked like a girl who came in yesterday and looked to wear the same leggings. I was also asked the same question if I was there yesterday by what seemed like the manager. She also asked if this was my first time being in here and I replied the same way. The manager also said I looked like a person who came in yesterday. I was given the impression that the girl they dealt with yesterday may have been a shop lifter. I understand that they have a business to protect but unless there is very strong evidence please do not make a loyal, paying cutomer feel uncomfortable simply because they might have similar looks to someone who wronged them.

This is the first Art store I have been into. It is amazing. I learned about items that I didn't know existed. I did not give 5 stars because some of the prices are outrageous others are great. If the items arw compared to other box stores they are on point but if it is compared so the companies websites or others they are pricey. I definitely will be back because you cannot get the same knowledge at other stores or questions answered online.

Wide variety of art mediums throughout the store. Extensive paper arts section which interested our group of four. Staff were eager to demonstrate new products and techniques.

Are you a crafty person? Do you feel the craft itch hitting you? If so you definitely need to hurry right down to runaway Art and Craft Studio. They are beyond helpful, so friendly, have every kind of supply you can think of, and they offer classes. The employee's take pride in their store.

Well when I went in the place was very nice. A lady asked me right away can I help you I asked. Where r ur paint brushes. She took me to them.... she stood next to me like I was gonna steal something. I wont be going back. Unless I get really desperate

Love this art store! I recommend this store to everyone! Tested and found all my favorite pens for work! So many coworkers use my pens and joke about stealing them. Colorful, sparkly and doesn't smear! Obsessed with the paper selection. The owners art classes are top notch! I always end up spending way more than I thought I would, but always get things I can't live without!

This store is fabulous! The store has a massive amount of papercraft items for such a small footprint. They stay on top of new releases and stocked up on all the regularly used items. I have been delighted by the staff every time I stop in. Their newest part of the team Damian is so helpful and knowledgeable. The owner is so friendly and helpful. It truly feels like your shopping with friends. If you have not made it to the new location out South Salem, please support small businesses and stop in.

Yes, this is a good place (kind of hidden away in a strip mall). Very good selection of papers, inks and other craft supplies. Even stock some fine art supplies. Easy to get to for those of us in South Salem.

Runaway Art and Craft Studio has a little bit of everything you need for your crafty passions. I go to support local business, and I never leave disappointed. I found the tools and paints I needed for my acrylic painting hobbies within the first five minutes of entering the store. The staff are very nice and informative and take you right where you need to go. They also keep a log of your purchases for rewards if your a frequent customer. Definitely give this place a visit before you head to Michaels or other big house craft departments. It's fun, it's local, it's well-stocked, it's humanely priced, and it's a good atmosphere. Solid 5 stars. Edit: Just wanted to say I love the new location. WAAAAY better parking situation and our shelterless neighbors aren't pooping on the sidewalk outside every morning. It's also next to Big 5 and Perfect Look, my other favorite stores.

Sat next to shoppe owner on return flight from Arizona. Hit it off sharing about art..Seemed like the shortest flight ever. She gave me her business card, invited me to visit an art class. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I was able to add a quality travel size paint set, brushes, pens and specialty pencils to my traveling kit. Can't wait for another Salem trip!
