Great bakery right in little ol' Waldport: excellent quality, kind and efficient service (don't be deterred by a line out the door; they get everyone in and out quickly so you won't wait long), and very reasonable prices. Everything we ordered was really good and freshly baked, so I doubt you can go wrong in ordering. They have a daily list of things they only make on certain days, so check ahead if you want something specific. The pastries were flaky and delicious (try the croissant and apple turnover, each $2.50). The cinnamon bun, shortbread cookie ($1.25) and molasses cookie ($1) that our two year old spotted and immediately demanded, were all fantastic as well. We got a loaf of sandwich bread (the corn sandwich loaf, $6, Fridays) and it made great toast as well as sandwiches. On the savory side, I really liked the potato knish ($3), and the cheese puff pastry ($2.5) was also good. My only regret was that we didn't order twice as many things :). We'll be back every time we're in Waldport, and probably multiple times per visit...!

This town is nearly shut down 3 days of the week. We were so excited to try some local sourdough but then saw the line. They are only open 2 days a week? No sourdough is worth standing in line for 20+ minutes. SO disappointing

THIS BAKERY IS AMAZING! Worth the wait if there's a line! My husband is lactose intolerant. Sourdough breads are dairy free and they have some vegan desserts too. Everything is handmade deliciousness. Staff is cheery and the ambiance is awesome. If you're even close to Waldport this is a must. Take a look at their bread schedule on the site, it changes each day.

Totally worth it if you fancy fresh baked bread (probably about a dozen varieties), and several dozen different pastries, cookies, bars, cake/cheesecake! When we pulled up by 11am there was a line of 10+ people. Y'all are missing out if you don't make this a stop on your coast drive. I bought several things, but the one that I really enjoyed was a Swedish Cream cup - similar to panna cotta with a really creamy custard-like texture, topped with a berry compote. I wish I bought a couple more of those before heading back to the valley.

This is the best bakery I've ever been to in the US. It is not just good - it is extraordinary. The croissants are fabulous. The bread is fabulous. The pies / desserts are fabulous. Truly, it's amazing. I may return to Waldport (on vacation) just so I can stop at this bakery again.

Amazing surprise awaits you! So many amazing treats. As someone said earlier, the quality rivals any bakery I’ve visited in Portland or Seattle. The seeded sourdough is amazing. The nut tarts. The muffins. The lemon sandwich cookies… amazing.

That's a Sourdough bread bowl filled with shredded cheese and garlic! Let the drooling commence. The line moves fast so don't fret. Just watch an Instagram Pastry Cam video while you wait. There's a LOT of yummy stuff and it's all calling your name!! The view is pretty great too.

The name doesn't begin to do this bakery justice. Their bread is fantastic (don't pass up the foccacia!), but their array of pastries, cakes, tarts, and cookies are delicious. There isn't a dud in the bunch, although there are some items that really sing - the pecan sticky buns, bourbon pecan bars, shortbread cookies, and Italian almond cakes. Everything is so good, and the prices are surprisingly low. $1 for the incredible shortbread cookies? $2.25 for a berry apple pie slice? We purchased 7 items plus a loaf of bread and our total was $22. That's incredible.

We’d heard of this place and finally stopped in. It rivals the BEST bakeries I’ve been to in Portland. In the bread: Big air pockets, yet not so huge that you slice it. Amazing array of other goodies. While we were waiting in line we wondered why customers were leaving with armloads of bread and goodies! See for yourself. A wide range of affordable tasty treats. All in little old Waldport. Next time we’re having crab Louis or clam chowder, it’s worth a drive from Newport!
