I'd give this branch zero stars if I could. Also be advised that at least one of these "5 star reviews" on Google is from an actual employee of this branch, Nick O. So let that be a warning to you as well. Nick is the person who opened my account BTW. They are giving themselves 5 star ratings at this branch. Avoid this bank like the plague. I opened a business checking account here, based on the Chase online offer of $300 to open a new checking account. I printed up the coupon and opened the account. Aside from the other problems with the signature card when we opened this account that required two extra visits to deal with, when opening the business account, they did not apply the coupon. Or did not properly apply it. What ever they did, we did not get the $300. When the 60 day period had passed to get the credit, I inquired about it, and no one had any record of me using the coupon. After a visit to the branch again twice, and numerous calls, no one can tell me anything. I will be closing my account and moving on. This bank is full of incompetent people both in the branch, and in their "online support".

I visited Chase in the Waterfront as a business customer. I was quite impressed. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left I was treated as if I were the most important person in the building. The doors were opened for me, everything was being constantly sanitized, beverages were offered. As a small business owner, especially during these COVID days, stress levels can be high and you look for some sense of relief that things are coming together. Chase in Waterfront helped me take one very important task off of my “to do” list and brought me some relief. I was listened to to ensure I was connected to the correct representative and provided a streamlined experience. I was greeted with a smile and kind words from all of the staff. I personally met with Krystal , I apologize if I’m not spelling her name correctly. Her diligence and patience in getting my problem solved to completion was very much appreciated. I watched her work with professionalism and she updated me every step of the way. I am new to Chase as a business customer and my first impression was nothing short of amazed. The small town feel from such a large corporation made me feel like I made the right banking choice! I may not be a billionaire, YET,😉 but I sure felt like one! Kudos to the whole team and thank you Noblemen Transportation, LLC for referring me!

DO NOT USE THIS BANK! Doesn't even deserve 1 star.. They hold your money after closing account. was supposed to receive a cashier's check the day it was closed and they said it had to be mailed. It TOOK A MONTH FOR THE CHECK TO ARRIVE. No one cares at this bank. its someone else's problem. We will be reaching out to our attorney..

First off, I love Chase Bank. Just not this branch. We are buying a house and the closing company only accepts wire transfer- not certified check. I bank at both Chase and PNC as I live part time in California and there wasn't a Chase in Pittsburgh back in the day. My account at Chase is a military account which waives fees for quite a few things. So, I called the Waterfront location and was told this included wire transfers. It does not. I do not know who I spoke with but frankly the entire branch seems like they could use some further training and information about their jobs. So, since PNC charges $50, I decided to simply transfer the money to Chase to do the closing. I figured I would just get cash and deposit that as u assumed a personal check for that amount would take too long to clear. Well, it didn't occur to me that banks only keep so much in large bills on hand and the lovely ladies at PNC offered a free certified check. They suggested I call Chase to confirm same day or next day availability since I needed it in a short time for closing. Well, I called and explained the situation and that it was a larger sum than I had in my account. I was assured it would clear by next day and for certain by Friday which was the last day I could do the wire transfer. So, I got my certified check and went over to Chase. Now, as soon as we walked in to the foyer, there was an intense chemical smell. So, when we entered the branch, we immediately mentioned it to the greeter who was there. She didn't seem at all interested in the fact that there was a noxious smell in the entryway, just anxious to get us to whatever window we required. I did the deposit and thankfully my partner thought to ask when it would be available- November 5th!!!! On a certified check deposited on October 27th for a closing on November 2nd. I asked to cancel the deposit saying I could simply get the cash and bring it over. The teller seemed incredibly unsure on how to void the previous transaction and a woman stepped over to whom we explained the situation. Well, it turns out she was in training (and the only one there who seemed to understand customer service so kudos to her!) All of this discussion brought a supervisor over who explained that since I normally keep a low balance, it would take time to clear. I explained that I had already thought of that and had called ahead to be sure. She refused to inquire of the very few other employees to see who gave me this information (I later suspected it was her) and proceeded to look over my account making a lot of concerned sounding noises. She told the teller she would approve it (I have banked there for years, had a car loan with them paid off early as well as two credit cards with never a late payment.) The teller told her I said I would go over and cash it at PNC- I wasn't supposed to hear this exchange apparently- and I was then informed that I would have to go over and get cash. I asked her if she would be able to call the PNC branch where I had just gotten the check to confirm it and she refused. She said that sometimes things can happen with certified checks (meaning check kiting- look it up) and that she couldn't allow it to be cashed. After having told the teller she could! It may seem like a little thing but I am a disabled vet, thus the military account, and sometimes doing all of this running around wears me out. Not to mention she essentially accused me of committing fraud. So I went back to PNC, got the cash, (they couldn't believe she refused to simply call) and went back. When we got there, she said "That was quick!" and I told her- yeah because PNC is about 2 blocks away and it is a simple transaction. The entire experience was odd. Oh- and when we gave the teller cash (same teller as first time) one bill had a slight rip in it. One $20 bill out of 225 bills. And he took literally almost 3 minutes to study it as if we were trying to slip in a counterfeit. Refusing to speak to us or even look up. Odd. So, if you bank at Chase, go to Shadyside. They rock!
