It's often hard to get an appointment with short notice. The doctors are excellent. And they accepted my insurance and did a great job with billing!

Let me just sau first off that the Doctors i have no problem with...i think...maybe my review will clear it up. I am very envious of coworkers or friends who when sick they are able to call their Doctor and have them either call in a perscription or ask you come to the office. Let me tell you what usually happens to me...while having the phone ring 5 times and a friendly sounding receptionest say that you will be answered in the order your call was recieved, i get that followed by a statement about flu shots or something which brings me back to original answering servics...repeat 5 times! Okay now i have to give my name number birthdate before tellung what is making me near death. Next they dont put you on hold but rather take your info and tell you someone???not doctor but someone will call me back at no time given..okay i must state that these events happen regularly! So i get a call from the nurse..in which i have to go through my life threatening symptoms again... Only to tell me she will consult the doctor in house and get back to me!... No!..i dont want you to get back to me! I would like to talk to a doctor for once!!! Becaise i dont trust you to relay the messages because ive been given wrong symptoms to doc before..plus im scared and id like to talk to a medical professional!...im not kidding when at times the nurse called back obce three times before i finally got an unsatasfactory answer she said came from the doc!! Why cant we speak to the doctor like everyome else in the country can??

Been going there for years and have no complaints. The doctor spends plenty of time with you and explains everything. The nurses are equally attentive.

I would not recommend this place to a single person! Im appalled the way Janet and the other 2 at the front desk represent this company. Being very rude and yelling even hanging up the phone! I talked to 3 different people and every single one was as rude as can be. They also took 3 1/2 weeks to refill my prescription and told me that they sent the refill over 5 times in 2 weeks. Continued to lie and blame it on “system changes” even my pharmacist said it was a joke. Then when they sent my script over, IT WAS THE WRONG ONE! How!?!???!! How is that possible !?!? What if I needed my meds in an emergency? I didn’t get any message of “system switches” where I’d have to do my own refills since the ladies that work here are lazy! Absolutely disgusted by this business. I wish I could give 0 stars

I have been going to Deer Lakes medical for about 10 years now. As a whole I have been very satisfied with the level of care I've received. I am able to speak/meet directly with an actual physician, not a PA as many facilities typically provide. Also, I am horrible at planning visits in advance so more often than not I'm calling in needing a same day appointment, and time and time again they have went out of their way to squeeze me in. I just did it again today... and they fit me in... which is why I am here posting this review.

The worst, you can never get an appointment when you need one. Then the office staff just refers you to Med-Express. I would go to either a AHN office or UPMC they always have same day appointments. Plus the staff is always rude when you call.

I have been a patient for years. I suffer with allergies and have even undergone sinus surgery. My normal routine when they get out of control is an rx of prednisone then a zpac if it turns into an infection. This is normally done by my PCP or another provider at DLMA. This weekend I suffered another attack. Before going to Urgent Care I thought I would call the physician on call to avoid urgent care office charges. I explained my situation and before even asking my birth date or attempting to identify me as a patient I get " You will have to wait until Monday". Really....isnt this what the physician on call is for?

Receptionist Janet was quite rude picking up the phone on purpose while I was talking then when I brought that to her attention she said, "well you heard the phone ring." Definitely showed lack of concern for helping me. Had a bad attitude -very smart attitude and not friendly. I usually don't write reviews, but this was very bad. One person can make a difference - this time it was a very bad one. I would have given only one start however, the practice itself isn't bad.
