We always stop here when we're in the area - usually for breakfast. The French toast is great and home fries. My daughter loves the big chocolate chip pancake. Great coffee. They have started accepting credit cards (not AMEX).

AWESOME FOOD!! The omelette was delicious and we shared a Hubcap pancake that was about 12 inches across! The cream chip beef was also very flavorful and the homefries were cooked to crispy perfection. Clean bathrooms, clean environment, and very friendly staff. Pricing was also very good, this enormous pancake, that could feed two people, was only 4.99! Must visit!

First time eating at Route 30 diner. We went on a Sunday morning because all of the local Amish restaurants are closed on sunday. The place was crowded but we were able to get a table right away. I ordered the chorizo breakfast casserole. I've eaten a lot of chorizo since it's my favorite and in my opinion the chorizo used in this dish was under seasoned. I was expecting more of a kick but to me it was rather bland. I also thought that the peppers and onions could have been cooked a little longer. Overall the dish was good but it was not great. My wife had one of the hubcap pancakes to go with her eggs, bacon and potatoes. Those pancakes are very large and very fluffy. I had to help eat it since she could only eat about half. It tasted just as good as any other pancake. The eggs, bacon and potatoes all tasted good. Service was friendly and the prices are good and we will eat there again when in the area to try different menu items.

If you are looking for a good home cooked meal in a all American setting, no where better than the Rte. 30 Diner in Ronks, PA. We pulled in at 7:50P.M. on Saturday night not aware they close at 8:00P.M., were seated and served by Lindsey. She was so friendly and served us with a smile the whole time. We were just seated and the other waitress went out to flip the open sign to closed. We would not have ordered if we had known that (our bad). Never the less Lindsey was terrific and said it was no bother for her as she went about her business preparing for the next day. We ordered chopped sirloin with mushrooms and onions and a sirloin steak with fried shrimp and we both had mashed potatoes with gravy. As you can see plenty of food. Everything was just as ordered and very good. I asked if I could take some pictures inside and without any hesitation was told absolutely. The Diner experience is really one of the last all American old school dinning traditions left, it was fun and the food and service was simply the best. Stop in and enjoy the atmosphere and food and ask for Lindsey, she was the best.

The place looks old and outdated on the outside but the food is DELICIOUS! We decided to go there because we didn't want the traditional chain restaurants we can get at home. The food was fast and hot!! So hot I had to wait to eat it. First day we had Lunch/Dinner. I had the Bacon Cheeseburger and he had the turkey dinner. Both were so good. We went back on our last day to get breakfast. Again Hot and Fresh! We both had 2 eggs, home fries, and bacon/Scrapple. The people there are very friendly!

Regardless of whether or or not I would like to admit it, I find myself, like so many others, susceptible to the influence of food. If I have had a poor meal, it might ruin my mood for the rest of the day. I start to regret the over-inflated price I paid for something that made me feel dirty and greasy, didn't provide me with the boost of energy that I had hoped for, and left me guiltily looking for something else to eat. However, if I have a fantastic meal, it puts a smile on my face for hours. I feel a childish laughter bubble up, a spring in my recharged and refreshed step, and a sense of positivity that hadn't been present during the phase of hanger prior to eating. Before I had even finished my breakfast at the Route 30 Diner, I knew what kind of meal that I was having. From the first mouthful, I felt the warmth of a home-cooked meal overcome me. I had been surprised by the portions. Ordering the pork and eggs, I had expected to receive small slices of pork that might be expected at a chain breakfast restaurant, but what I received was who impressively sized pork chops, tastefully seasoned, and masterfully cooked. The accompanying eggs and home-fries were rich, flavorful, and filling - but the kind of filling that makes you feel plump and content rather than sickeningly close to bursting. Despite being a small location, the diner was able to seat an unexpected amount of guests. Since I had arrived with a large group, we decided to split seating between a booth and the counter-trop bar-style seating. There were times that it felt cramped, especially when fresh guests were arriving, but this contributed toward the endorsement of the quality and popularity of the diner more than served as a stressor. The servers were clearly expert in their roles, rushing around the diner to refill coffees, bring diners their food, seat new guests, and relay orders to the kitchen and yet still managed to find the time to have a conversation with me and my family. I could not recommend a diner more for the sense of authenticity, absence of cliché that comes with many diners, portion size and quality, and competence of serving staff. However, I would recommend those diners that tend to make an impression of a restaurant by its outward appearance be prepared to suspend their judgement. From the outside, the diner appears to be small and unimpressive but those willing to give something new a chance will be richly rewarded with one of the best dining experiences in the area.

Wasn't busy on a Friday morning so we stopped in. Husband and I both got meat lovers omelet. Good homestyle diner food. Fast and friendly service. Bring cash as it is currently cash only payments. There's a sign on door that says there is an ATM inside if needed.
