Compared to the LE in Mt. Lebanon (Galleria) I loved this one! Less noise, not overcrowded, and different items!

Great selection, great prices and little shopping carts for kids to run around the store and load up!

I frequent this store and the employees are amazing! I have seen them be kind and patient towards customers who are rude and impatient. It takes a lot to manage squishmallow drops, and as a small business they are doing great! The location isn’t what’s listed on Google, they’re just a minute down the road though next to the Dunkin’ Donuts. Nothing a quick call into the store couldn’t fix, they gave me helpful directions to get there.

This small store is packed full of great toys and games for kids of all ages. The prices are higher than the competition, but we like to support this small business and be able to shop locally.

Price gouging on a popular highly sought-after toy. She has it listed for $40 over retail price. I expect that from Amazon, but not a local store. Extremely disappointed.

Took my daughter and her friend here. They loved it. Both has been to several Learning Express Stores and both agreed that this is their favorite. It being my 1st time in this establishment I must say I was impressed. Huge selection of fidget toys and squishmellows. Definitely worth the trip and will be back in the near future.

So how do I give this place zero stars? I’ve had multiple occasions where the staff was incredibly rude. Just today, my 12-year-old daughter returned a “Putty“ item that was defective… It was hard as a rock when we opened it. A new employee behind the desk asked no questions of my daughter and granted her credit back against her card. A senior employee, a lady found out about it five minutes ago and approached my 12-year-old. She berated her loudly, directly and openly in front of everyone in the store, telling her that she shouldn’t have been dishonest and try to return the putty. My daughter told her it was hard and the lady lectured her in a loud tone of voice that she needed to learn how to knead putty and that nothing was wrong with it. I of course defended my daughter an asked that if this was against return policy why the employee who issued the credit didn’t ask any qualifying questions? The lady yelled at me and said “the employee is new and your daughter should’ve known better and she shouldn’t have lied...and offered that she already opened it“. You can’t make this stuff up! She then continued to berate me to the extent that she told me never to come back to the store. This is the same store that made a “temporary“ Covid return policy stating that for the safety of the public all purchases would be final and no returns would be excepted to safeguard against the transmission of the virus. What a totally selfish, profit driven lie of a policy! I’ve had blunt rudeness forced upon me at the store prior by the owner as well. The culture in the store is madness… They act like they’re providing some educational public service and that you should be privileged to be in their crummy little store. It’s cheap imported junk from China, 100%, and there is nothing educational about the stuff they’re bringing in. If you really have to have these trinkets, go to Amazon from the comfort of your home and save 30%. Or better yet, go to Hobby Express in Cranberry where they truly have educational products and are kind spirited. A store like this should be closed down. I will report them to the Better Business Bureau this evening.

I’m a little annoyed, my kids were looking forward to shopping for fidgets here, so I took them. When we got there they had a sign on the door that masks were required, even for vaccinated patrons. Typically I would just walk away and choose not to patronize a science denying establishment, but because the kids were there I was trapped between a tantrum and principles of truth. (Wearing a mask after you’re fully vaccinated IS a lie) Every business, government, and individual needs to ensure that the proper incentives are in place to maximize vaccine adoption. By still requiring masks after individuals are vaccinated… we increase vaccination hesitancy, reduce confidence in vaccination efficacy, and lower vaccination adoption rates. I’m sure the owners / management at Learning Express are just trying to do the right thing, “why not just continue requiring masks!? Better safe than sorry” but by doing so you’re asking vaccinated customers to lie, and it’s not a small thing. We all have to promote a culture where once you get vaccinated (and wait the recommended 2 weeks) the pandemic is 100% over for you, and normal life can commence unfettered. If you choose to keep your masking policy, I’d recommend including such information clearly on your website to save principled people the trip. Perhaps a popup when your session begins.

I had an amazing experience at Learning Express. I’ve been going there for years now when I was a kid and now shopping for young cousins and nieces. The products and customer service are great as well as the owner Julie. She makes your experience there very personable. Shop small!
