About:
Founded in 1996 by Christian Schlebach, Re-Sails was the first in the market to manufacture sail bags and accessories out of re purposed sails. Many years in the yachting industry showed a significant amount of old sail being disposed of in the dumpster. Realizing the potential of Dacron in different applications Christian took some of those sails and started designing jackets and bags out of his garage. Our boutique in Newport has become a sought after lifestyle store. Stop in and see us.

Recently I had the pleasure of shopping in Hooleys.I loved the uniqueness of the clothing and sail bag products. More importantly, the owner of the store helped me and she was the most pleasant, helpful person I have worked with during my entire visit to Newport!

Great customer service! Fashionable clothing for both men and women, and plenty of options for gifts. The bags are a cute and clever way of reusing sails! Would 100% recomend stopping in!

Re-Sails met me on my twenty-first birthday celebration yesterday and handled my lack of control very well. (I am so sorry for how I acted!) The employee was very respectful, even with my disrespect. Once again so sorry and thank you for dealing with my misbehavior like you did :) Hope I didn't cause any issues.

Fabulous bags! I have the pocketbook, duffle, and large backpack, as well as the small travel purse . They are my go-to travel bags: because they are easy to carry, fit tons of stuff, and go under the seat as your second carry on. And in addition, they are fabulous looking and easy to wash! Six stars!

FYI - they moved across the street! Store looks great! Another amazing E Schelbach Production 👍🏻 Added another piece to my sail bag collection 🎉🎉 - best of luck at the new location.

Hooley was a decent place to work, having been a college student trying to find her way and making the best of what I could, to put it short.... it is a "do right or do not at all" type of company. You either put up and stress to get it right or you're done. I understand the need and procedures of the products and the reason they cost so much. Working in the shop was a good experience with the owners wife. Working with the owner however, ruined my experience. The pressure and lack of guidance by he himself did not make it a happy place to work at all. Nor could I grow as a worker and feel good about my place there. Products however and their purpose as a company are admirable.

Re-Sails should be given a very wide berth indeed. Terrible customer service - They also appear to be posting their own "5 star" reviews. If you're headed there, I suggest you come about.
