No 24/5 schedule makes it pretty pointless to use this gym, people work during the day and would like to be able to use the gym at night. If I am working on a restricted schedule I'll go to one of the gyms with brand new equipment. Bring back 24/5, the hours were the only perk of planet fitness in the area. Also they respond to any mention of the 24 hour schedule saying they will update, but their own employees have said there are no plans to open back up for those hours.

I have been coming to this gym for several years. The facility is clean and staff is pleasant. My issue is with the televisions which have never worked properly since I have been coming to this gym. I have mentioned it several times to the staff with no resolution. The other issue is right now many of the machines are out of order. For example all but one bike that I like to use is out of order. Machines keep breaking and not getting fixed. When might planet fitness get both of these issues taken care of?? Thanks

So, I have been a member at this club for about six months. It is convenient to my apartment in downtown Providence and it has a pretty good set of equipment. My problem is with the management and maintenance of the club. At any given time there are 3-6 machines OUT OF ORDER, and even more maddening is that at least once per week, the hot water is off in the men's locker room. What kind of insanity is this? Are they turning off the hot water at night to save money? It's just bizarre. Otherwise, the people are friendly, though the club is very full in the mornings so sometimes you simply can't get on the machine you want. OK, AN UPDATE. MANAGEMENT REPLIED TO MY REVIEW (GOOD SIGN!) AND GAVE ME A NUMBER TO CALL TO FOLLOW UP ON MY CONCERNS ABOUT THE LACK OF HOT WATER AND UNUSABLE MACHINES. I CALLED AND A VERY NICE MAN SAID THAT HE WAS AWARE OF THE HOT WATER ISSUE AND THAT IT HAD JUST BEEN FIXED. I WOULD HAVE NO FURTHER PROBLEMS. WELL, TODAY? NO HOT WATER. SERIOUSLY, I'M DONE WITH THIS PLACE.

Clean space, helpful staff. I’ve seen a number of comments re: the Summer Pass program. I think it’s commendable the gym is offering a space for teens to work out, at no cost. We need more civic minded businesses! There are more people around, but I haven’t encountered any issues as a result. A safe space for someone of any age to work out. Well done PF!

Any positive experience you have as a member is quickly overshadowed when you move away and find that you have to hand write a letter to cancel the membership. If I call to cancel the membership. Cancel the membership. I don't live in the neighborhood anylonger. It doesn't have to be this difficult. Here's your letter. Hope this helps you more than you helped me.

Can we have the old management back? Free summer membership for teens!? I don’t expect much for $10/month, but this is a slap in the face to all paying members. If you like to feel like you’re in a high school gym class, sign up for this PF. Went to the gym yesterday and it was about 2x busier than normal because of this. Expect bathrooms to be dirtier than usual, long waits for an already limited amount of weights/machines, and higher Covid risk because of the crowds. All of the teens that were there were in groups of no less than 3 or 4, all following each other around in packs like they were in the mall food court socializing. I don’t mind working out with people of all ages, but this is just absurd. At the very least, they could restrict the free teen times to a small two hour window of time each day, or make them pay $2/month. If it’s free, people will just use the place to come to hang out and socialize, making exercise a nightmare for the rest of us. I’ve been paying for gym memberships since I was 14, there’s no reason to have a free promo for teens. I’ve been coming to this gym for 5 or 6 years, mostly because it’s a short walk from my apartment. Guess I’ll be finding a new gym unless this changes. I’m guessing a lot of other customers will be canceling as well.

Definitely was not happy with my treatment today as I was pulled aside upon entry and told I couldn't work out because I had a back pack with me, while waiting for my company that I came with I seen more than a handful of people with dufflebags and backpacks, here are just a few examples. I deffinetly felt pin pointed and attacked after talking to Staff about my concern of discrimination he assured me that he was going to get the other people with bags off the floor... about An hour later and he still hasn't. Finally after complaining again I was offered a complimentary locker in the front near the staff which would have been nice to know instead of being forced to Stand aside the whole time.

I love this gym, but it not being open 24 hours during the weekdays anymore makes it really hard to go, and it's one of the main reasons I initially joined. I understood during the worst parts of the pandemic, but now it's just a bummer. One star until this changes.

The Main reason why I Chose Planet fitness 10 years ago was due to it's 24/5. With that gone you really lose the selling point it had on other gyms. At least do a 3am Open. Ppl work and commute. 5 am is not earlier enough

Good gym, members and staff are great just need better machine... Can't wait to reopen 24/7 I'm still a million mile away from my goal.
