First! I must say. I ‘ve never have visited PGE CREDIT UNION. And I do not reside in N.Carolina. But I Am a STATE Retired Employee, in Massachusetts.. And pay 💰 my Union Dues 2-3 years in advance. Why??? Can’t I be “ENROLLED” in PGE Federal & State CREDIT UNION?? Furthermore, I made contacted/spoke! With the Retired State County AND Municipal Association., Boston , Mass. And Was Told: They have NO! Credit Union???

We been member for many years? But has dropped from great to ok, since people have retired . Somethings changed for worst. No more mortgages done in bank and no more personalized attention like before. Now your just account number and $$ sign.

When I started, almost 6 years ago at the Post Office walking into Corliss St and droning through the orientation process, I got a moment, maybe a sales pitch, but an endearing one where PGE had a spokesperson come up and explain the benefits of banking with the Government employee bank of RI and the USPS. I have had small credit unions, Rockland federal, BoA, and as a Postal Employee, PGE has become one of my favorite benefits. The website and account management system is barebones. It doesn't have the frills of BoA or Santander. It doesn't need them. Employees are always friendly and helpful, the loans and options available are fair and easy. I do not see myself ever leaving PGE as a financial institution and going back to the larger banks. Even if we are the customer ,PGE and its employees are to be commended in attempting to and succeeding in relating to you. I could never go back to a bank where I am customer #188848188131319 and denied arbitrarily based upon some blip years ago. I encourage any postal employees in the RI/MA area to consider this bank. Its a drive at times, and made harder during COVID but, its worth it.

I'm so glad that through my union I have the benefit of being a member at this bank. I previously was a member of two other credit unions and have been a member at Bank of America. None of these compare to PGE Federal Credit Union. They are a small bank and so they know you on a one on one basis and treat you with the utmost respect. In addition to this they are willing to work with you to get you what is best for you. Just refinanced my car through them and they gave me a deal! I can't say enough good things.
