This review is specifically for the deli department at the Lake Wylie, SC store. We've been shopping this store for four years since we've lived here and we love Publix. However, this is the worst deli department in the area. Almost every time I order deli meats, they do not slice them the way I ask, and only a couple of people there really know how to slice to order. The service is usually slow, even when there's only two people waiting. Forget it when there's more than that. Also, when they have several associates slicing up special orders, they leave deli customers waiting at the counter with only one person handling them all. The issue that made me decide to never buy deli items at this particular store again is yesterday I ordered my usual ham and american cheese for lunches this week. However when I went to make a sandwich today, the ham was fine, but when I opened up the bag of cheese, it had a heavy chemical smell to it, and there was no way I was going to eat that. Now I am on my way to return the cheese to the store (not the first time I've had to return inedible deli items, by the way) and I will never order deli from this store again. I will do the extra drive to Rock Hill Publix instead. So disappointing.

The Bakery out did themselves! I ordered 40 nurse themed custom jumbo cookies for all of the nurses on my critical care unit for nurses week, and they were adorable. So delicious too! I will order from them again.

I love this place! The fruit bowls and parfait's are delicious! Cheesecake is always a plus. Cashier's are usually talkative and decent. Clean and organized to.

I had a gift card but it was showing 0 balance instead of $10.69. Casey at c/s worked very hard to figure out why it wasn't showing my balance. Very pleasant and courteous the whole time.

I used to buy a full raw chicken from the poultry section then request their butcher to cut it into pieces to cook it until today. Mind you the last time I was there 2 weeks ago it pinched a bit on the price. Today, I finally figured out why. The full chicken i got was priced at 1.11c per pound and the total cost was about 5.45c. I get to the butcher with 2 full chicken and request them to cut it small. Lady at that counter obliges but some guy in the back who i couldn't see screamed its 2.99/ per pound to cut it & not into small pieces but any size pieces. I put 1 back and give them 1 with take the skin off as well instructions and lady said sure. 15 mins later the chicken was cut & I paid 14$. Fuming I walked out & swore never to come back. Well, I get home and the pieces are too small and the skin was still there . So, I feel cheated twice over

Love it all fresh, fresh, fresh fruits, vegetables and meats. I have nothing bad to say. Friendly, nice, neat and energetic are the family at this store. I just love it. Everything is fully stocked just a joy to shop at this market 😍

The workers are great in the deli but the management of the area needs work. If they are going to do to go orders than one person should do those on separate machines, while others should be dedicated to the in store customers. Also there should be more then one sliver for cheese instead of having to wait on others. I am sure Publix can afford to put a few more slicers in each store

Everyone is kind. It's always clean, not very busy and pretty much always has everything I'm looking for. Quality of products are amazing. Outside of local farms, has the best produce hands down

Publix always takes care of me. Staff always friendly, selection of fish and steaks unmatched. Carry more Taylor Pork roll and I'll improve my rating. Cereal deals are great, love the bagels and the freshly baked bread.
