Amazing store. Great products. Friendly associates but terrible location and terrible street parking situation that no one will put an end too. The street parking in the “No Parking Zone” needs to be stopped. There is a parking garage and it needs to be used. As a ride-share driver we can not pickup/drop off at the front door or barely turn onto the street because people line the street with parked cars. The streets is dangerous because of the parking situation and no one does anything to stop it.

I would like to start out this review saying that we have been die-hard Publix fans for many years in many different locations. After moving to Charleston, the obvious answer for where to shop would be publix- no thought needed. Unfortunately, we have been so disappointed in the rudeness displayed by the cashiers with the one exception being the mustached gentleman in the self checkout area (unfortunately I do not know his name). The other cashiers however consistently will not even say hello when you say hi to them and I have seen them roll their eyes multiple times towards my family and also others. This has been a pattern over multiple visits. The quality of the groceries themselves remains top notch however.

Ok, so bougie is the best way to describe a Publix where you have to take an elevator to the store which sits underneath $4,000 a month apartments. But it's clean and well stocked and the staff is very nice.

I LOVE having a Publix downtown! The customer service is always outstanding!! There is limited street parking available; I find parking in the garage easier. Removing one star for the parking/carts situation. The carts will lock before making it all the way to some of the designated street spots, and that is rather frustrating. I understand Publix doesn't want them stolen, but I do think the perimeter could be extended to allow customers to get their carts to their cars when parking in front of the store on the street.

As a visitor of Charleston, my husband and I stopped in at Publix for our usual shopping. Couldn’t ask for a better, cleaner grocery chain as we have them everywhere in Sarasota, Florida. As a frequent habit, we both headed to the rest room to wash our hands, but found the bathrooms in the most deplorable conditions. Filthy isn’t even a strong enough word to describe the condition. With no paper products to be found, except in the toilets, I headed out to let the manager know of the situation. I explained to a manager on duty about the rest room and how it was an embarrassment to the Publix grocery chain. No lady would ever want to face such disgusting conditions. Instead of being honest, the young man looked at me like I had two heads and then replied, I cleaned it this morning. And here it is 9:30am 🤨. I went about my shopping waiting on my husband. We finally met up when he explained that the mens room was a nasty sight and no paper products to be found. He also approached the manager to share the conditions and was met with the same reply. As for the rest of the store, it was absolutely spotless. As for the manager who blatantly lied to my husband and I, it would have been much better to just say I’ll get someone right on it.

Indoor parking lot is great for a rainy day! Otherwise the heat and humidity while in the lot, like on a non-rainy day, is so oppressive and almost impossible to tolerate. The filth of that lit and the entranceway to she store should be an embarrassment to Publix corporate. However, since opening - it only gets worse. The store is a Publix, so need I say more. You are a tolerant, patient fan or NOT.

Love this Publix when I come to visit Charleston! The people here are really nice and it’s in a fabulous location! I like the fact that it is in an underground parking garage. I’ll definitely be back! Customer service is great! :) southern hospitality at its finest! :)

First time visiting this Publix and it is beautiful. There is a parking garage, the building has tenants living there amongst other stores located here. The inside is clean, there is a dessert section, sub section to get a sub prepared, soup section and a hot foods section. Purchased a couple grab and go meals which was good and hope to be back in the next few months to try their subs. I do recommend.

Publix Super Market at Westedge in Charleston is a great new place to shop for quality groceries at a low price on the Peninsula. It is great to have another grocery option on this side of town and especially a Publix. I have enjoyed every shopping visit here so far and I am happy this place exists after waiting so long and seeing construction complete. I like that there is plenty of free parking and a dedicated elevator to get to the store. The store is big and has plenty of room and items from Publix that I am familiar with. I had an easy time getting in and out with everything I needed. The store was very clean and well run and the staff working here was friendly and helpful and made sure I had a pleasurable shopping experience.
