The BBQ chicken was good but the baked beans a little spicy for our taste. Coleslaw was good. Could not ask for better service cause they are soo nice. Just to let you know we are in our 75 so that's why we do not like spicy. But there are other sides dishes to get and we will.

Dukes(Whitman Street) is my favorite BBQ in South Carolina. They are super nice folks who serve up traditional SC BBQ with a smile, and in an extremely clean restaurant. I appreciate things that never change, and Dukes is every bit as good as when my grandparents brought me here when I was young. Everything is top notch, but the fried chicken is divine!

It looked like they only did drive thru , but no. They had indoor pay $10 and serve yourself as many times as you want. They, and a customer, could tell we were not southerners , so they instructed us how to eat the pulled pork with hash (didn’t even know what that was!), rice, coleslaw and sweet pickles and a mustard sauce. It was surprisingly good and so much more digestible than any fast food. Great find! Thanks !

Still a great place! I went here in the 80's. It's just a little <7 miles> off the I 26 in Orangeburg. We had the buffet. 2 kinds of chicken, pulled pork, hush puppies, mac and cheese, green beans, slaw, potato salad, pork crackling. Very good! My favorite was the fried chicken and green beans. And pork crackling! They use disposable plates, cup and flatware. The buffet is all you can eat and costs $15.

If you are passing through Orangeburg or visiting, or live here. Do not...I repeat...do NOT miss out on this great BBQ. Dukes has it all, smiling faces, friendly staff, amazing BBQ, and the best sweet tea around. Definitely a hometown favorite around here. We love Dukes. Family friendly, fair prices, and you won't be dissatisfied with their food. P.S. Don't forget the banana pudding or you'll never forgive yourself.

Great comfort food! And they really mean SWEET tea. Buffet was very reasonable, better than chain food anyday. Glad we found it on a day they were open.
