Average product quality, below average customer service. I bought a tree at Cliff Avenue earlier this season that was overpriced, but it looked nice so I splurged and purchased it. The installer damaged the tree (broke off the top of it) when he installed it. They gave me 1/6th of the price I paid as store credit toward another purchase. That was probably not enough, but I accepted it. The tree then became infested insects and began spreading disease to other trees in my yard that never once have had pest issues. The tree was swarmed by insects and you could see them jumping to other trees from it. The tree was also an eye sore and my neighbor asked me what happened with my dead tree. He was right, it certainly looked dead. 80% of the foliage had fallen off. When asking for a refund (I've only had it a few months), the owner himself personally declined and didn't even apologize. I'm embarrassed for him and the company and would urge others to not purchase anything here, because they will not stand behind what they sell. In reading other reviews, I found many others who had the same experience with returns and refunds, I should have read first. They agreed to remove the tree, but won't process a return. I guess greed takes priority over taking care of the customer, as I am out hundreds of dollars. 0/5 rating, ignore the 1 star I was forced to give.

I purchased this beautiful wind spinner as a gift last September at Cliff Ave Greenhouse. It is so pretty (bigger and better in real life than the picture shows) so I really wanted one for myself, but they didn't have two. The person assisting me checked at another location, with no luck. She offered to take my phone number and call me if another one came in and said it was probably unlikely...but I left my phone number anyway. So now it is February and I received a phone message that they were unpacking wind spinners yesterday and had one I wanted! I called back, was texted a picture, and yes, it is the same one. And even better, I live in Rapid CIty but I will be passing through Sioux Falls in a little over a month, and they are going to hold it for me! I don't have to worry about it getting damaged in shipping (or pay for shipping.) I am so happy! Who would have guessed that when I left my phone number 5 months ago, I would get a call? What excellent customer service! And the wind spinner I gave as a gift has been up in the recipient's yard, survived many very strong winds (it's spinning so fast then you can't even see it) and it still looks like new. Thank you to the crew at the Cliff Ave Greenhouse!!!

Cliff Ave on 26th has a wide variety of plants, home decor, and plant accessories. Lots of pot/planter options! The greenhouse was stocked with all your typical houseplants and had a little of everything (definitely more plant options than you’d find at the big box store). I thought many of the plants were a bit overpriced, compared to other greenhouses I’ve been to across the Midwest (but maybe that’s because it’s South Dakota).

This is by far my favorite greenhouse in SF. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The store is clean and comforting and as the sign out front often says this truly will become your happy place!

Where to begin. This place is somehow rated #1 on the local best. I disagree. They are way, way overpriced compared to all of the nearby greenhouses within 20 miles for no apparent reason. They have very few staff and the ones they do have are unhelpful. This place comes off as being uppity. Would recommend Oakridge or Landscape Garden Centers. Both are great and helpful.

Great selection of houseplants. I always leave with way more than I needed. Staff has always been friendly and helpful at this location. Summer time the houseplant selection seems to dwindle at this location and seemed a little neglected but overall usually good. Fair prices also.
