As a resident in Columbia Tennessee there isn’t much to do, so I’ve been taking my children swimming for a very long time. I decided to take my children swimming yesterday and everything was fine, no issues with them swimming. Today 7/21/22 my daughter decided to bring a friend so we paid $5.00 for her. They have not ever taken a swim test so of course they both have red bands(which is what they normally get every trip) all of sudden after 5 minutes of swimming a life guard approaches the children and tell them to get out and they can only be in 2ft(what) so the rules changed from yesterday to today( odd) I understand rules change but no notice was given when the red wrist band was placed on their wrist, no signs posted, absolutely nothing! I am furious, but tried to remain calm in front of children. I will NEVER be back due the lifeguards picking and choosing who they want to pick with for that day. I did not get the lifeguards name, but with her nasty attitude I’m sure I could find her in a line up! I think the lifeguards need to know CORRECT rules and need additional attitude training.

I have been member for years. Everyday is something going on. No mo group classes and if they list one will be cancelled in the last minute. Broken equipment in the gym. Swimming pool closed most the time in the morning. Jacuzzi broken for the last 2 years. No air conditioning in the spinning room and or exercise room. Very unsafe are to workout.

Very over crowded . Front Lobby very warm and crowded at the time we registered. It took us longer to register than swim. We only stayed approximately an hour, bcuz overcrowding and it cost $30. Expensive hour of swimming.

BEWARE if you need to cancel your membership. I have sent a moving reservation and a new utilities bill in another state (due to ailing mom) and I am still being threatened.

I started my family membership in July of 2021.. Throughout the winter I was unable to use the facility but still paid due to my contract. I missed my February payment and emailed to inform them that it would be late. On March 1 I went into the facility to make amends. They gladly took my cash of $255 with the understanding that I was paid up and in full for the next 2 months. The girl actually told me I was paid for March April and May but since I had missed February I assumed it would only be for March and April. The following day when I attempted to use my membership for the first time in several months I was denied entry. Being after hours I sent another email. i made several attempts to reach a manager always missing them somehow until today. She just informed me that my account was never reconciled because I had more charges from missing my February payment they sent me to collections and when I paid the cash they pulled it back from collections charging me another 80 something dollars but I was never informed anything about until today. I have not been allowed entry into that facility since January even after paying $255 in March. today no April 26 I’m being informed that I am now two months behind and that everything I paid was used to pay for the fee from them sending me to collections I guess? And they’re still sending me back to collections because I haven’t paid anything else since the 255 in March. This only being explained to me today for the first time and my account is already back in collections when I was told by their employee or I would have access to the gym and was paid up through May. I won’t name any names but the manager whom I spoke to was unwilling to correct any of the mistakes that have been made and pretty much told me that unless I have a lot more money right now to pay for months of service that I was not allowed entry that I will still not be able to continue my family membership. I cannot believe how horrible I’m being treated at this facility! It’s completely unethical.

Do not sign a membership to this place if for any reason you ever are unsatisfied you will still be billed for the remainder of your contract. They want you to sign four pages of liability releases with 10 people in line with kids behind you while you’re standing at the counter. Then if you are unable to pay for a month you will be sent to collections immediately and have to pay an extra $80+ for the “collection’s fee” On top of the $25 late fee. And this is done automatically with little attempt to inform you of anything. The manager was extremely rude and unethical. I was unable to pay for one month specifically the month of February. On March 1 I came in to fix the problem in person. I paid for what was supposed to be three months in advance only to never have my account unlocked or reactivated because their employee made a mistake when she took my three months worth of cash. I should’ve been informed then that I would be charged and extra $80 to pull my account out of collections.. because I was unaware of this when I left the facility thinking that I was in good standing really I was still with a balance due. I’ve still not been allowed entry into the gym and today was told that I’ve been sent yet again to collections and that I have seven months past due? I haven’t even been there since January and I’ve paid for every month. This place is a complete scam they look for any possible way to charge your card on file extra money. I am so disappointed. They should not be allowed to use Muletown in their name.

We love Maria our water aerobics instructor. What a delight she is. She does so well with her classes and is such a pleasent person to be around. Love attending those classes its soluch a need and I am so glad they are available to us! Thanks Muletown Rec!💙💦

Really feel like everything is misleading and they are super rude over there. Was trying to figure stuff out (such as the pool issues in everyone’s reviews) and they wouldn’t give me a straight answer just wanted my money. Very deceitful and unkind. Won’t spend my money here.
