I love this bookstore. I make a stop every time I’m in Nashville. They have a massive selection of books, records, and even cds. I usually always leave with books that I’ve been wanting to read at more than half the price. I actually got one this week for ten cents. I also bought 15 cds during another road trip and just had my own nostalgic drive through the USA while listening to old music that cost less than $10 for all of it. Definitely recommend if you’re every stopping through.

Oh my gosh. This place is better than Half Priced Books. It has everything from instruments to electronics. It also has a list of where to find different genres of books on each aisle which is very helpful. It’s giant in here so it’ll take you a couple of hours if you’re a book lover.

Loved this bookstore for years and I love it all the more now. I love that I can always find more than just the everyday best seller books. McKay’s has all those, but they also have the best selection and prices on books you won’t see anywhere else. I love browsing and finding something cool that piques my interest!

Super Uber disappointed in the Nashville McKays - frequent visitor, customer and seller at Chattanooga’s location. Took 90 items today including 25 recent John Grishams and 30 dvds - checked the price on the shelf for two of my DVDs - one was going for $3.95 other $4.95 and there were only a few of each My store credit was $25 or $13 in cash - really unbelievably low exchange. I know we would have had a fairer exchange at Chattanooga, the low ball was a super bummer. It was also unorganized and people seemed frenzied. The prices on the books seemed higher as well, one Rick Steves that I looked at in Chattanooga was $8 in Nashville - same book was $14.95 😳

Love this store. It is like my Fortress of Solitude. It has books, comics, movies, gadgets, etc. all at great prices. Staff is super friendly. Would recommend this store for the nerd in anyone.

The amount of books in this store is amazing. The shelves are organized and labeled for easy browsing. They also have a nice selection of games (both board and video). I love that the shopping carts had drink holders, because what's better than books and coffee? I had a great time perusing the store, and I could have stayed longer, but we were on a time crunch.

McKay’s has to be in the top 5 best used book stores in the country. It’s especially great for students because they have most assigned reading, usually pretty inexpensive. You have to really look and spend the time but you can find some treasures in there.

I love this place! Best used for browsing rather than looking for a specific item, I find it better to come in and see what I can find rather than getting frustrated not knowing the genre of the book I wanna read.

went in today to look for a vinyl for a band and some books; although i didn’t find the vinyl was looking for, i found some books that were interesting! the store itself is super big and you can always find something here 😁 the prices are reasonable, the lines move pretty quick, and the staff is very helpful! definitely worth the drive!!
