Shearer was my third dealership I worked with during my car shopping experience. They should have been my first! They had multiple options for me to look at and test drive (unlike other dealerships). Hillary was a wonderful person to work with. She listened to my needs and was never pushy. Best car buying experience I’ve ever had. Hillary was excellent at her job. I told her what my son was looking for as he is in Virginia over the phone and she told me what she had coming in and we picked our model jetta and color and she told us the delivery date. During our wait she gave me updates on delivery so we were not left wondering which was excellent as a 23 year old son with no wheels can be a little impatient. She called to tell us it was in and ready for pick up on the very date she said which is rare in these times. My son had to fly into Burlington from Virginia and of course got held up in DC which affected me picking him up. Hillary volunteered to get him from the airport if I couldn’t make it on time. I thought that was awesome and couldn’t believe she would do that for us. I ended up being able to pick him up but at least I had a back up in Hillary! When we finally made it to the dealership it was great. They had all necessary paperwork ready to go we just signed and out the door we went. Like 15 minutes total time spent at dealership which is great if you ask me. If your in the market for a great buy on a car just call and ask for Hillary she’ll make it happen.

From the moment I decided to make a call to your dealership to the moment my new vehicle was serviced, I experienced nothing but attentiveness, quality care, commitment to product and customer service. In fact, one particular employee went above and beyond to assure customer satisfaction. I could not be more proud to be an owner of my first VW product and look forward to many years of partnership. My story may be a little more unique than most, but I am fairly certain that the level of customer service that I have been exposed to in Burlington is not unique at all. Still, I feel it necessary to highlight my appreciation. It was a typical cold Saturday morning in Vermont and I was just about out of charge in my VW ID.4. I was heading to a family funeral out of state, when the charger decided it did not want to fit into the charging port. After about an hour of being flustered, I called the dealership and spoke to Jerry who politely offered to have his team take a look. Upon my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised at my friendly welcome, the sights of the crisp and modern showroom and ultimately the caring and compassionate customer service that I experienced. It turns out that I had ice lodged in the charge port that the team was able to fix immediately. I witnessed a team approach to make this happen; Tom, Andrew and several others came together to make me feel welcome, valued and cared for. While the car was charging a bit, Andrew gave me a complete walkthrough of the many wonderful features, an opportunity I was not fortunate enough to have since my vehicle was purchased out of state. I would have liked to use the Shelburne Road dealership, alas, the product was out of stock and my need for a new vehicle was great. Andrew shared that he could be a contact for me moving forward in any future service needs I had. Unfortunately, another bump in the road came shortly after we met. The next day, very early in the morning before attempt two at heading out of town, my level 1 home charger decided to get stuck in the charging port. After hours of trouble shooting, I reluctantly called Andrew to ask if he had any suggestions. He assured me that we would figure it out, but may need to be creative as the dealership was not open on a Sunday. Andrew went above and beyond by traveling to the mountains of Underhill to take a look at my new vehicle. Although he was unable to get the charger out himself, he had a theory, which would ultimately fix the problem and get me down to Massachusetts just in time for a family funeral. His theory was put into practice by a genuinely kind tow truck driver with Bee There Towing out of Richmond, VT. Andrew’s knowledge of the vehicle, problem solving skills and boundaries with regards to role recognition saved the day. On his day off, Andrew was kind enough to travel a distance to meet a customer’s needs in an emergency. Loyalty to customer is something that VW in Burlington Vermont clearly takes pride in. It was evident throughout the entirety of my experience, which I will be sharing with anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle. Word of mouth travels fast and far in Vermont and I look forward to sharing with others the positive interactions I have had despite some odd luck. Cheers to many more years of partnership and to increased sales of VW vehicles in Vermont.

Ryan in the service department is the MAN. My car has been in for repairs for a few days and I had to rent a car for a little bit, but then my car ended up having to stay a little longer and Ryan got me out of my rental and into a loaner...not to mention its a reallllllly nice loaner 😁 my encounter isn't over, it's just beginning, I'll update accordingly. As of right now, the customer service is 5 stars though.

I can't say enough great things about Shearer VW. The employees were extremely helpful and nice. Julia Mattison was a pleasure to work with. She was always available to answer any questions and was willing to do any research that I needed assistance with. She also worked around my schedule to test drive and pick up the car.
