This is the only store left in the Ballston Mall. All the other shops and stores are gone! It's like walking through a ghost town. There is an eatery place open in the mall. Macy's was not buzzing with customers either. The trip was a total waste of my time because I was not going to Macy's. But I am glad that I know the situation of this mall. So unless you are looking exclusively for a Macy's to shop at, cross this location off your list.

This is a really bad Macy’s to a downright depressing degree. It’s cramped, poorly organized, poorly staffed, poorly lit, Falling apart and kinda gross to look at and legitimately feels almost abandoned and downright sinister. I’m legitimately shocked that with Macy’s closing lot’s of stores, Competition from other locations that are only a metro ride away, and that massive remodel of Ballston Common Mall into Ballston Quarter, that this store continues to remain in business.

I went for a return and the Manager was so nice and kind I believe his name was Anthony thank you so much for the best customer service.

It was kinda depressing to walk into this Macy's and see it as a vestige of what big box stores used to be, especially when so much of the space is cordoned off and housing naked mannequins and empty racks. Because of this their in-store selection is extremely limited and underwhelming, though we did manage to find what we came for which were new sheets and towels. Our experience with customer service was good as she had to help us split our payment over several gift cards, but ultimately I can't say I'd feel like coming back.

No one knows what they are doing, if you can even find someone to help you. They couldn't handle a basic in store return for an online order. I hope it closes soon so something better can take this prime real estate.

Tried to get into Macy's around 7:40 PM, 20 minutes before they closed and discovered all the doors had been locked. Would be best if they just changed the hours to reflect when doors are locked. Watched 2 other customers try to get in after me as well.

I bought a desk today from Curtis in furniture. He brought it outside, helped me load and take home. Such a great guy! Said he had worked there 41 years. Wow.

Although I was given assistance, it was very clear that I was not being listened to. I was on a mission to purchase a new perfume but left empty handed because of the way I was treated. So very disappointing when Macy's used to be my go-to department store.

Very quiet almost nobody there which made it peaceful also made socal distancing easy. Went there looking for a mattress and they had a lot to choose from and the sales man was helpful but wasn't hovering over us. He let us alone when we said we'd find him if had any questions.
