Northgate at Falls Church is a wonderful property. The staff is great here, including the management (Heather), the maintenance (Marco and Abdul), and all of the front desk concierges. If you are looking for a nice place to live that is well-maintained, secure, and fairly private, look no further.

We spent 8 months at the Northgate while renovating our house. We had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The building and facility are very well maintained and if we ever needed anything fixed or replaced (small stuff, light bulbs etc.) it was done immediately. The staff that works at the Northgate was amazing. Everyone from the leasing/management office, to the front desk staff, and the mechanical/maintenance staff was great at their jobs, professional, and very friendly. We are not planning on moving out of our house anytime soon, but if we had to, we would move back to the Northgate!

I love living here. It's a cute, smaller building close to all the fun, entertainment, and dining of Falls Church. Heather, the building manager, and her staff are all so delightful! They host great community events and go above & beyond to help. The community areas are always well-kept and comfortable. The only drawbacks of the building's location are it being right off a busy street and the nearby fire station, but neither are very bothersome honestly. I would definitely recommend living at Northgate!

We are so happy living at Northgate! After living in the City of Falls Church for 30 years, we sold our house this spring and chose Northgate as our new home. I have been very involved in our city for some fifty years as a teacher in our great school system, as a member of our City Council and Planning Commission so I've been involved with the many new developments that have been built. We considered them all and are happy with our choice. The management is excellent, maintenance is outstanding, the front desk so friendly and helpful. We are older, but the age mix of those who live here is very diverse and everyone likes it that way.

We just moved in a little over a week ago and our experience has been great so far! Pros: - All staff and residents are extremely nice and friendly (special shout-out to Serita who gave us the tour and has been so helpful in answering our questions/guiding us through the move-in process!) - Maintenance is very responsive - Marco is wonderful and has fixed our issues in less than 24 hours of submitting our requests - Kitchen is spacious, has hardwood floors, and there are many cabinets for storage space - Location is great and there are grocery stores (Harris Teeter) and many restaurants nearby Cons: - Since this apartment is shared with retail stores and a boxing club next door, we can often hear the instructor yelling and the bell chimes through the thin walls - Like other reviewers, we have heard ambulances and fire trucks pass by through the window and sometimes you can hear people walking/dropping things on the floors above you - There is a separate fee for parking

I have lived here about 3 years. I have enjoyed my time here. Colby and all of the front office have always helped me with my packages. Colby has been gracious enough to bring them up if I get tied up with work which I super appreciate. Walton and the front office have helped when I need to move around maintenance or have any issues. I have had a couple of maintenance issues that were taken care of promptly and professionally. Above all, I appreciate how the office and staff treat my pets. They are helpful and understanding that they are sensitive or skittish to new people. They always let me schedule when I am home so I can make sure the pets are ok. They let me know to cover ears if there are load noises. I appreciate that. I think you get what you pay for which I think is fair for this area and amenities. I have never had my car broken into, feel safe coming and going walking my pet, get help with my packages and mail, and maintenance requests. They went to great lengths on COVID precautions which I appreciate. I do miss the coffee machine but I understand with COVID lol. They also work hard on resident events. There have been some fun ones lately like breakfasts on the go, pizzas, and holiday decorating contests. Again, I have enjoyed my time here. Great place and friendly people.

We lived in Northgate for 3 years in 3 different apartments on multiple floors--we saw the transition between management companies too, so I feel we are well positioned to give an objective review. (1) Only Pro---great location in heart of falls church, conveniently located to the metro and W&OD. Also aesthetically pleasing. (2) LOTS of noise--these apartments are POORLY constructed and you can here everything from your neighbors. It drove us bonkers. You could here people walking, talking, etc. We had a new baby and it would wake him up! You hear doors slamming, shouting, arguments, etc. (3) overpriced -- agree with other reviews that they are generally over priced even for the area, and do not provide parking (which you have to pay for in addition...) (4) poor layouts of apartments... nothing made sense and the design was just odd. (5) management was often unprofessional and unhelpful--lots of eye rolling and snark, and never took our complaints seriously Overall--DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all.

I've lived here 6 months now and I love it. Yes, it's expensive but at least you get your money's worth. My 1-bed apartment is big and well-built. Management is very responsive (i.e. they replaced my fridge within 24 hours of my request) and the concierge is clutch for packages. Location is fantastic. Surrounded by neighborhoods and small streets, traffic is light. My commute to Tysons is never more than 30 minutes and the Metro station is only a half-mile walk. It really is like living in a small town with all the benefits of the DMV. The only real issue is noise. The fire station is 2 blocks away and if your apartment faces the street like mine, you'll hear every fire truck. Even with windows shut. Besides a couple sirens though, it's very quiet. Also, a new company bought the building in Summer 2017 so any reviews before then might be outdated.

The place is way over rated and wish I spent more time looking around the area before signing the lease for a year. There are many more costs they add on from the listed price shown. They do not even give you a parking spot and each one is way over priced. Charging you water and sewer as well as making you fully clean the place, professionally, when you want to move out. Below are more complaints: Cheap/thin windows and can hear traffic like the window is open. Hear people walking above you Poorly designed elevators and plan on waiting a while each day when going to work. Lack of ventilation and created mold in bathroom and a lot of dust throughout the apartment. Gym is decent in winter because it is kept cool, but in Spring and summer it is super warm. They have the thermostat at 69, but because the room was poorly designed, it was in the mid 70s. Hard to workout when you walk into the room sweating. The staff is very friendly and the manager, Agnes, is very nice. That is the only positive thing about the place. The building is poorly designed for what they charge and would not recommend to anyone.
